"Gerard...are you near me?"
A tall woman appeared in front of dazed Gerard Way.
"Gee...how much you've grown.."
Gerard can't believe his eyes. "Grandmother..?" He said, beginning to stand up. "Elena?"
Gerard almost cried when she said yes. Gerard rushed to her and hugged her with all his might. "Elena, don't leave me.." he sobbed. "I'm scared.." he said silently. "The bombings, and-and Mikey lost his boyfriend.."
Elena tousled Gerard's new red hair playfully. "Here, Gee. This is what you have to do. Wake up. Get up there. Mikey and Donna are waiting for you."
Gerard didn't want to let go.
Elena smiled. "You love me, don't you?"Gerard suddendly woke up. Mikey's face was looming over him. Once Gerard woke up, Mikey nearly cried.
"Brother! I thought you were dead! Thank God you aren't!"
Gerard rubbed his head. "How long was I gone?"
Mikey checked his phone which, for some reason, isn't destroyed. "Uhm..bombings happened at 12 p.m. and now it's 9 p.m. So you were gone for like...um...1, 2, 3..."
Gerard looked at his brother. "Bro. 9 hours."
Mikey grinned. "Hehehe sorry."
There was silence for a moment until Gerard looked at his surroundings. He was lying down in a cot, and he was in a tent.
"Bro...where are we..." Gerard said, sitting up.
Mikey shrugged. "Well, since you passed out for like, 8 hours-"
"9 hours."
"-Sorry, I mean 9 hours, Mother had to carry you-pretty light for a nineteen-year-old-to a safe place. And here we are, THE SOLDIER PLACE WOOHOOOO!"
Gerard looked at his brother with a questioned face. "Why are you so happy?" Gerard asked his brother who just exploded.
"Didnt you hear? PETE WENTZ IS HERE!!!!! AYIII!" Mikey said happily, nearly making the tent collapse.
Gosh, Gerard wondered. I thought they broke up..
"PETE AND I ARE STILL FRIENDS! But..not boyfriends." Mikey screamed, then really making the tent collapse. "Ah..sorry. Someone, a little help here?"
A soldier rushed to Gerard's and Mikey's tent and helped them put it up. Once it was done, the soldier looked at the Way brothers. "Seriously, guys. Turn off the crazy. There are some bombings over here, so keep a lookout. Here," the soldier said, tossing them food and drinks. Dinner." Then the soldier left.
Gerard and Mikey looked at the food and drinks. Cookies and milk? Holy s*** what is a better combination than this?
Without another thought, Gerard and Mikey gobbled down the food.
Donna Lee came into the room, and then they stood up and went to the Main Tent for some announcements."Good evening, people of America! We are gathered here today to save ourselves from the Germans! Don't worry, we'll hold them back tonight."
A massive guy with bulging muscles walked across the room. He had a bright red badge that read his name: DR. DEATH DEFYING.
"I am Dr. Death Defying, the head doctor and the chief of the US NAVY. At my side is Lt. Patrick Stump. He will introduce himself."
A cute little guy came rushing forward, accidentally tripping on someone's toes. He spoke, saying, "Soldiers! I mean-people from America! We are gathered here today to fight for our country! I am Lt. Patrick Stump, and I will be training all of you in Target Practice. Thank you."
He gave a big smile, which made everyone say, Awww!
Gerard suppressed a small grin as the little lieutenant walked out. Mikey leaned on his brother and whispered, "That's Pete's new boyfriend. Name is Patrick. Super dope."
Gerard nodded. "Patrick's decent."
Mikey elbowed his brother playfully.
Dr. Death Defying took the stage again. "Thanks, Trick. Now, I would like to call on our other head doctor, Raymond Toro!"
Gerard gasped. That was his best friend!
Ray went up the stage. "Thanks Dr. Death. Ahem...I am Raymond Toro, but call me Ray for short 'cuz my father is Raymond. Anyways, in case you will be a nurse like me, meet me in the camp clinic. Thank you."
Gerard looked at Ray, then back to Mikey, who was looking at Ray with admiring eyes.
"Mikey Way, snap out of it."
Mikey blinked twice. "Wh-what?"
Gerard looked at his brother and grinned. "You like Ray, don't you?"
Mikey's cheeks turned red again in humiliation. "Um..no."
Gerard let go a laugh. "You're blushing! You do like Ray! I'll let you meet him. He's my best friend."
Mikey slapped his brother. "Hey you. Shut up."
Dr. Death Defying introduced other people like Sargent Brendon "Beebo" Boyd Urie for Combat Practice, Major Spencer James Smith for Strategy Practice, 5 Star General Pete Wentz for Air Battling (Mikey is so going to be part of the Air Force), 4 Star General George Ryan Ross III for Water Battling (Gerard hates water, so he is so going to Air Battling with Mikey) and 3 Star General Bob Bryar for Land Battling....
Once everyone was announced and introduced, they told all the non-eighteen year olds to follow Ray Toro to go to the safe tent, while the eighteen-year-olds remain.
"Bye brother!" Mikey said joyfully, as he skipped to Gerard's best friend. Gerard watched his brother go, then finally faced Dr. Death Defying.
"Eighteen-year-olds, you are here to battle. You will have tentmates that you will have to stick to everytime and always. If one is late, both of you are late. So both of you should be in charge of each other. So," Dr. Death said, getting a scroll. "First in the list, Patrick Stump and Pete Wentz." Squeals were heard from the front seat. Patrick and Pete hugged each other happily. 'Good thing Mikey is not here,' Gerard mumbled to himself.
"Next is Ryan Ross and Brendon Urie!"
"Holy s*** what the f*** thank you!!" Brendon screamed. He quickly rushed to Ryan and squeezed him to death.
Dr. Death Defying then said names he didn't recognize anymore until finally, Dr. Death smiled. "Gerard Way and Frank Iero."
