Bruce woke up next to Selina. "Rise and shine." Bruce said, sweetly.
"Not yet." Selina replied, tired. "I'm starving." Her belly rumbled.
"Well, I guess that means I'm making breakfast." Bruce grinned.
"Wow. You even know how to work a toaster, rich kid?"
"I am offended."
"Aw, too bad. I think there might be bagels in the fridge. But definitely check expiration dates on anything...before you think about putting it in your mouth." Bruce left the room and closed the door behind him. He heard a beeping sound coming from nearby. It was his cowl. He picked up the earpiece and answered.
"Morning, Alfred."
"Oh, thank goodness! I was worried. I hadn't heard from you. I didn't know what happened." Alfred replied.
"I'm sorry, Alfred.I didn't mean to worry you."
"I'm just glad you're okay. I always fear the day you don't come home, Bruce."
"I know, Al."
"Where are you anyway?"
"I uh...I stayed at Selina's last night."
"Oh? Well that certainly explains it."
"I really like her."
"I'm sorry, are you smiling?"
"You can't tell if I'm smiling."
"I know you, sir. While you're there, this might be a good opportunity to learn more about Miss Kyle...after all we don't really know that much about her. See what you can find lying around. If she's trustworthy. You may not have another chance."
"Yeah. That's a smart idea. I'll see what I can find."
"At the very least, you can find that grapple gun of yours."
"Right. That might be harder than you think. She doesn't share your love of organization."
"Yes, well I'll see you back at home, Bruce." Bruce hung up and started searching Selina's apartment. He eventually found his grapple gun sitting on her kitchen table.
"There you are." He picked it up and put it with his other belongings. He then checked in the fridge. He found bagels and cream cheese. He placed the two items down on the counter and got ready to make breakfast for the two of them. Suddenly, he heard a knock on the door. He looked at Selina's room and she was there, indicating for Bruce to hide in her room. Bruce grabbed his suit and cowl and quietly made his way to her room and left the door open a creak to see who was at the door. Selina walked to the door and opened it.
"Harvey?" Selina said, surprised. Selina opened the front door more for Bruce to see his friend. Bruce had to stay hidden. Harvey couldn't know what he and Selina had done the night before.
"Hey. I brought breakfast. Can I come in?" Harvey asked. He had his half mask on.
"I don't know if that's such a good idea..." Selina trailed off.
"Just for a minute. I really need to talk to you. If you want me to go, I'll go. But I have to get this out." Harvey replied. Selina's cat clawed at Bruce's legs.
"Scram." Bruce whispered to the cat. The cat ran out the bedroom door, opening it all the way and revealing Bruce in his underwear.
"Bruce? What are you doing here?" Harvey asked, pushing past Selina.
"Harvey, have a seat." Selina said.
"No. I don't need to sit down. Bruce, tell me what's going on." Harvey looked angry.
