Bruce got in his car and started to drive home. He knew that with his advanced technology, he could easily track Joe down. He called Alfred and left a message. "Alfred. Find out where Joe Chill is located. I need to know where he's going. I'm coming home. Bye." He hung up and hurredly got home to Wayne Manor. He opened the gate and parked his car. He got out and ran to the front door. He opened it and called for Alfred. Bruce didn't hear him answer so he ran up his fancy staircase and ran into Alfred's bedroom. He opened the door and saw Alfred sitting on his bed with another man who was black and wore glasses that made him look intelligent.
"Bruce! Are you okay?! What happened to your face? Your wrist is bleeding as well. What happened?!" Al panicked.
"Don't worry about that. Did you get my message?" Bruce asked.
"Yes. I got my friend, Lucius here to help. He knows more about our technology then I do." Alfred introduced Lucius Fox to Bruce.
"I believe we met when you were a lot smaller. How do you do?" Lucius greeted Bruce.
"Not well." Bruce showed him his wrist.
"No need to fear. I can take care of that for you." Lucius brought Bruce into the bathroom and patched up his wound. Bruce thanked Lucius and ordered Alfred to locate Joe. Lucius took out a mobile locating device and quickly found Joe Chill's whereabouts. "Hm. Looks like he is headed to the alley where your parents were murdered." Lucius informed Bruce.
"Crime Alley? What the hell could he be doing there?" Bruce wondered.
"Whatever it is it cannot be good." Alfred chimed in.
"I'm going back out there." Bruce went to leave.
"All alone? With no protection?" Lucius asked.
"I don't have any." Bruce said.
"I can make you something that'll protect in a few hours. It shouldn't take long." Lucius suggested.
"What could you make?" Bruce asked.
"Anything's possible." Lucius smirked in greatness.
"Make me a suit. I need a suit that will protect me. I also need something to protect my face. A type of cowl that can cover my face should work." Bruce said. Lucius took notes as Bruce talked.
"May I suggest you make the cowl somewhat bat-like?" Alfred suggested to Bruce.
"Yes yes. That's perfect. Copy this down, Lucius." Bruce ordered as Lucius wrote. "I need him to fear me. I need you to make me a bat costume. No wings. A cape. Uh....let's see here...um..a belt! Pads all around the body made out of a strong element. Boots and finally.....a logo for people to remember me by. A bat symbol. Got this down, Lucius?" Bruce asked him.
"Just about got it." Lucius said. He seemed to be drawing something as he spoke. A few minutes passed and Lucius held up his notepad. Printed on there was the perfect bat suit that had everything described by Bruce.
"That's great, Lucius! Let's make it." Bruce felt confident that they could do this. Alfred and Lucius gathered all the items they needed and started crafting. After a few hours, the suit was completed and it looked amazing. Lucius presented the bat suit to Bruce and Bruce was astonished. He tried on the suit and it fit perfectly. He finally put on the cowl and was ready to go find Joe.
"Be careful, Bruce. Make sure you stop him." Lucius said.
"I will." Bruce replied and ran out the door to his car. He drove to Crime Alley as fast as he could. There was no traffic because the time was 1:30 in the morning. Bruce could not wait to confront Joe this time. Once he arrived, he got out his car and saw the same smokers he saw earlier. They noticed him.
"Who the hell are you supposed to be?" One of them asked, laughing a disgusting laugh.
Bruce deepened his voice. "Where is Joe?"
"Maybe he's here. Maybe he isn't. Either way you gotta get through us to see him. In case you didn't know, his leg is broken. He can barely walk because of Bruce Wayne. He threw him off a goddamn building." The same smoker said surrounding Bruce.
"Bruce is a good guy. He was protecting himself and getting revenge for his family." Bruce said.
"Ha. Thomas Wayne got what was coming to him. He was a bad man." The smoker said.
"Take that back." Bruce angrily said.
"No way. By the way, we haven't properly met. My name is Bert. This is Larry and this is Drake. I like to know who I'm killing before I kill the person." Bert took out a knife along with the other two. Bert swung his knife forward and Bruce grabbed his arm in time. He twisted it and heard the bone snap. "Agh! You broke my arm!!" Bert yelled. Bruce pushed him into the man named Drake. Bruce tackled Larry to the ground and punched him multiple times. Larry finally passed out and Bruce got off him.
"You're dead!" Drake screamed and grabbed Bruce by the cape. Bruce elbowed him in the mouth, breaking his jaw. Drake screamed in pain and fell to the ground with Larry. Bert got back up and ran forward with his knife in the air. Bruce grabbed his knife out of his hands and stabbed Bert in the belly. Bert was speechless.
"I don't think you should have said that about my father!" Bruce blurted out.
"Your father?" Bert was confused. Bruce had revealed his identity. "You're Bruce?" Bert asked.
"Goodbye, Bert." Bruce stabbed Bert again in the belly and again and again. Bruce finally took out the knife and Bert fell to the ground, dead. Drake got up and ran away. Bruce threw the knife at him and the knife dug into his back, stopping him. Larry was still unconscious and Bruce decided to spare him. Bruce looked down the alley and saw who he had been looking for. Joe stood there, his mouth wide open in shock. Bruce ran after him and Joe tried to run but slipped on the ground due to his broken leg. Bruce picked Joe up and threw him into the wall. "Tell me! Why did you kill them! Why?! Tell me!!" Bruce yelled in his face.
"I'll never tell you. Never!" Joe yelled back. Bruce punched him in the face.
Joe coughed up blood.
"Last chance. Tell me." Bruce warned.
"Go to hell." Joe spit at Bruce. Bruce decided he had given him enough chances. He grabbed Joe's other leg and twisted it so both legs were broken. Joe cried out. Bruce threw Joe to the ground. Joe tried crawling away to grab his gun but it was no use. Bruce had grabbed his gun before he could get close to it. Bruce pointed the gun at Joe Chill, debating if he should shoot him.
"I'm sorry it had to come to this." Bruce said.
"Wait! Who..are you?" Joe asked in a painful tone.
Bruce quickly thought of a name. "I'm....Batman." Bruce pulled the trigger and sent a bullet through Joe Chill's head. He threw the gun beside Joe's body to make it seem like he had killed himself. Batman got into his car and headed back to Wayne Manor. He called up Alfred on the way.
"Hello Bruce. Are you alright?" Alfred asked.
"Call me Batman." Batman replied with his deep voice.
"Okay....why did you call? What happened? I hope you're alright." Alfred answered.
"I'm fine, Alfred. Call Lieutenant Gordon. Tell him that Joe Chill is dead." Batman ordered.
"Will do....Batman." Alfred responded.
