Louise was on her way back when Nick stopped next to her with their car and told her to hop in.
With an uncertain look on her face, she told him that she enjoyed walking.
He insisted: "Those bags must be heavy. Come on, you can trust me."
She hesitated for a moment, then she thought: What can happen in a block from home and the bags are heavy. She got into the car.
What happened next was so unexpected, she just could not believe it. Instead of turning right towards their flat, Nick turned left and sped towards the highway.
Louise yelled at him: "Stop, you're going the wrong way!"
Nick just ignored her and grinned. An icy feeling crept down her spine. When he slowed down to turn, she opened the door.
He braked. Turned off the road, saying: "We're going to have a lot of fun!" He bumped her head heavily against the dashboard.
Everything went dark.
