Louise Smith sat at her desk, checking figures on the last month's sales, it was good, but she wanted to better them.   Her thoughts went back to Gregory.   He was so excited about the ripe tomato from his "Secret Garden" this morning.   She started a vegetable garden when he was about two, to no avail.   He always wanted to replant everything.   When he was three, she told him it was his secret garden and showed him how to plant the plants himself.   It proofed to be more successful and they often reap some nice fresh vegetables from the garden.

"You definitely beat Mona Lisa with that smile," a male voice said from the door.  She looked at the long man, leaning at the doorframe.

"Thank you,"  she said.  How can I help you?"

"I have an appointment with Louise Smith to show her my new products available."

"Then you must be Charles, I am Louise, pleased to meet you."

"I'll get my stuff from the hallway and then we can see what interest you," he said as he turned around and walked out. Wow, what a handsome guy?   She scolded herself about that spontaneous thought.   Not the type of guy that would be interested in a widow with a kid.

She watched him while he was unpacking his products and spread them across her desk.  She could not help to notice his well-built body and broad shoulders and his large hands.  What is wrong with you?  She scolded herself again.

She forced herself to concentrate on the new products in front of her.  She put the products of interest aside and asked him a few questions about their use and functionality and prices.  She completed the order and asked him about the delivery date.

"Shall we go out for lunch," he asked as he leaned backward in his chair and look her in the face.

She shrugged,  "Yes, why not,"  she said nonchalantly as her heart started racing.   You have to contain yourself, Louise, this can be trouble, big time.

To her surprise, he turned out to be charming and made her feel at ease while they ate their pizza at a small  Italian restaurant about a block from the firm that she was working at.

They returned to her office after lunch and exchanged contact details for in case of any problems and he left with a "Goodbye, see you soon."

That's it, you won't see him again, he is a rep and knows how to treat his clients to clinch the best deals.  You have to concentrate on your job, there is rent to pay and three tummies to fill.  Her mother in law moved in with her since she moved back to Johannesburg.  Lucky for her she got a job at the same firm where she and  Gregg met years ago, after his sudden death.  The rent for the cottage is not bad and Gregory has a small garden to play in.
