Tracey was very excited: "I've been on house hunting with some agents, but if it looked decent enough, it was far above my budget."
"Well, this is what we need to keep the house going, it will cover the normal day to day expenses and the insurance if you can afford this and you like the house you can start your haven," Thea said and Linette nodded with a smile.
"Well, the house is perfect for what I have in mind and the garden is a bonus, I'll put a bench with a small table outside, then my patients can relax in the garden when they feel up to it. The price is the best, it's less than my flat's rent. I couldn't ask for more. That is so kind of you," Tracey said.
"We are glad you like it and we can't think of a better way to cherish the memory of Linette's mother and my sister. What are you going to call it?"
"What was your sister's name? We can use her name if you agree to it." Tracey suggested.
"Like Rina's Haven, what do you think Linette?"
Linette nodded through her tears and whispered: "I can't think of a better way to honor my mom. What do you think Gregory?"
"I think it is a wonderful idea, just let me know if there is anything that I can do to help you. It seems to me that God is answering one of our prayers here and I would love to be part of it."
"You can think of suggestions to help me to raise money to do the changes. For instance, we might need to replace the double beds with single beds. If there are too many patients we can let them share the rooms," Tracey answered.
"I heard Paul saying once, that his mother donated two single beds to the Salvation Army when she changed their spare room. They might be happy to swop with you," Gregory answered.
"That's a good idea. Do you mind if I do changes like that?"
"No, not at all, as long as you discuss it with us, that will be all right. We can hold some garage sales to raise money for your project. I've already had a lot of clothes and stuff to get rid of. I think between me and Linette and Christa we have a lot of clothes that we can sell."
"I like that idea," Linette said, "we can even ask the neighbors and all our friends for donations."
"Well, I can do that too," Tracey said with a big smile. "Give me a date and I'll see what I can collect for the sale."
"I love the idea of being part of this project. Thank you, Tracey, this means a lot to us. We'll get the papers ready and then you can move in and we can keep in touch about the ways to collect money for this project," Thea said.
"Thank you, you gave me so much hope and inspiration, my dream of yesterday became a reality today. You are my God sent angels and I pray that we will be able to work on this together for a long time. With friends like this, I feel like I can conquer the world. This is the beginning of Rina's Haven. I can't wait to sign the papers." Tracey said with a happy smile.
