A few days later

It's Saturday and the couple are going out. 

Niall says that he's going to take Rose out on a special date but that he can't say where. 

Getting ready, Rose doesn't go for a flashy look but for something simple yet cute. After getting ready within and hour, she heads out out her living room where she waits for Niall to pick her up. "Going out, hun?" Her mothers asks as she approaches with her phone in he hand.

"Y-Yea. Niall's taking me out on a--"

Her mother drops her phone on her lap and gasps out loud in shock. "A date! This is so exciting--well for you! I'm just--as a mother--"

"This isn't my first time going out on a date with him, mom." She says almost uncomfortably.

Her mom takes a deep breath in then out before giving her daughter a huge hug. "It's just I never thought I'd live to see this day!"

"What does that mean?"

"You would always be in your room looking at your phone and I just thought you'd never have a boyfriend." She sighs, "Which is what made me think--will my daughter ever get out of her room and mingle? But I guess I didn't have to pressure you at all and you did the job yourself!" This leaves Rose with an open mouth, she never knew her mother thought that.

Right at the moment, Rose receives a message from Niall saying that he's outside of her house. Quickly saying a goodbye to her mom, Rose heads out into Niall's car. "Hey, you alright?" He asks as she takes a seat.

"Yea." She responds. "So where are we going?"

Driving out of the parkway, he sends her a smirk. "I thought I told you that it was going to be a surprise."

Rose huffs out in disappointment. She's never been fond of surprises. And Niall could obviously tell that by the expression on her face. "Ok." Rose says as she sits back in her seat.

After a while of driving, it begins to rain lightly. This wasn't going as Niall planned by the way he begins to cuss under his breath and drive quicker. Rose knew right away that the date he was planning on doing must of been outdoors. If it weren't then there wouldn't of been a problem since rain doesn't make it's way through the roofs--unless there's a leak somewhere. "Were you planning on having a picnic?"

Niall parks in front of a park as soon as Rose finishes her sentence. "How did you know?" He asks somewhat sarcastically.

"Well you started to get mad when it started raining which only meant that the date you planned on us having was outdoors." By the end of this Niall only smiles at her. "What?"

"You could be the next Sherlock Holmes." He opens the door and exits the car.

Rose rolls her eyes. When he opens her door she jumps out beside him. "If I'm Sherlock Holmes then you could be my sidekick, Doctor Watson." She gives him a little nudge.

Grabbing her hand, Niall gives her a little tug to follow his lead. They make a run for it through the rain eventually making their way under a tree. Both of them stop all of a sudden. Taking deep breaths they lean against the tree as small droplets of water fall on their head. "This was where the picnic was supposed to be."

"How about we just go for a walk?" Rose gets off of the tree and walks in front of him with her hand out.

"In the rain?" He takes her hand.

She guides him out from under the tree. "Is there a problem with the rain?" She questions.

"N-No. Not at all." This makes her smile. "There's a creek over there." With his free hand, Niall points out in front of them.

"Then what are we waiting for?"

Without another word, both of them head their way to the direction of the creek by following the trail. Of course there was no one else out in the park which left the whole place to themselves. Reaching the edge of the creek, they both stare at the drops which fall in the water in front of them. It suddenly begins to rain harder and their clothes are beginning to soak quickly. Niall urges Rose of this by tugging her under a tree and covering her with his arms. "You're freezing, Rose." He comments.

This only makes her roll her eyes which he notices. "I'm only trying to save you from dying."

"Who would of thought that after all this, you would want to save your secret admirer from dying." She giggles.

Niall sighs. "Well I can't..." he trails off, "imagine a world without you."

Rose doesn't want to believe that she heard this but her ears ring with what he just said. Looking over at him, he stares at the ground awkwardly. Taking his face in her hands she stares into his eyes and smiles. Leaning in she plants her lips on his. At first, Niall doesn't seem to believe that Rose was kissing him. As confused as he was he controls his mind and places his hands on her waist. As she pulls away, Niall opens his eyes. "W-Wow."

"You kiss by the book." Rose says.

He smiles. "Look at us. We could be the next Romeo and Juliet--reciting all these lines."

"Lets not say that or else we would both end our lives just how they did."

"Ah, but they did it for true love." He wraps his arm around her.

"But Niall do we love each other?" He looks at her confused. "We just started dating and we are too young to know about love."

"So were Romeo and Juliet."

She shakes her head. "But this is reality, Niall."

He frowns. "Are you saying that you would never tell me you love me?"

This only makes Rose confused. "Love is such a powerful word--for us to use it--we are just too young to understand." She sighs.

Disappointment is written all over Niall's face. As well as Rose. "I-I'm sorry---I shouldn't of--We should go." She says as she starts to walk to the car.
