There's a party happening tonight and a majority of the school has been invited.
"Are you planning on attending?" David asks Rose as he stands beside her once they enter the school hallway.
She shakes her head. "No."
He whines. "Come on Rose. It's been about a week and I think you deserve some fun for once to forget about you know who. I'm sorry if I'm coming off as rude but I'm just saying--"
"I get the message, David." She says before he could finish his sentence. "I just know that he's going to be there. And the last thing I want right now is to run into him."
David looks up from her face to see him standing right in front of both of them with his friends. All of them seem to be talking about something funny because they all can't stop laughing their asses off. And it also looks like Jess can't get her hands off of Niall. It's also because she saw Rose walking towards them and wants to rub it in her face.
Without hesitating, David wraps his arm around Rose's shoulder and walks right past the group which shushes them all. Niall looks over to his side and sees them instantly shutting him up in no time. He takes Jess's hand in his giving her a tug to move closer to him. The boys behind him smile at each other knowing that they have done exactly what they've wanted.
Rose simply walks past not even giving Niall a simple look or glance. She then realizes that she should get over him soon. She stops in her tracks and so does David. "Are you alright?"
"I think I would be if I went to that party."
This makes David smile.
