The last couple of days have gone swell for Rose, she hasn't shed a tear ever since her conversation with Niall. It's almost as if her bad spirits have been lifted. Whenever they passed each other in the halls they would simply send a nod to each other or smile. But a majority of the time Jess was by his side which made it hard for him to smile in her direction.
David would notice this at times and started to grow curious about these small actions.
During lunch David didn't decide to ask Rose. She seemed in the best mood and he's never seen her like this. His first encounter with her she sobbed in front of him. He's glad that she feels better, but he still doesn't understand why. Instead he takes the opportunity to ask her a question.
"Hey, Rose?" She looks up at him. "Would you like to go out tonight? You and me?"
She stares blankly at him for a moment. "Sure, David." She exclaims.
He was worried for a second that she would reject him. But he sort of knew that she wouldn't since she's basically his only friend since he moved schools.
