Niall ended up sleeping in his car at a random park. It was nearly 7 pm when he woke up. "Shit." he mutters under his breath as he looks down at his phone which lay beside him. There were still no texts or calls from Rose. Running a hand through his hair, he simply imagines her. What if she's fine and is already over him? Is she just as tragic at the moment as he is? He simply brushes the idea out of his head.

Turning on his car, he gets ready to leave when all of a sudden his phone rings, quickly picking it up without checking the caller ID he answers. "Hello?"

"Niall!" A voice says through the phone.

He knew right away who it was. "What do you want Max?"

"Is that any way to greet a friend?"

"Tell me what you want or else I'll hang up--"

"Woah, woah ok. I just called to ask if you wanted to hang out with me and the gang." There was a sudden pause between the both of them. Max already knew that he hand Niall in his hands and knew exactly what he was going to say."Just come to my place."

He suddenly hangs up. Niall's left sitting in his car with the phone up to his ear. He looks down at his steering wheel and takes a hold of it throwing his phone to the side. He was heading to his friends house.

Once making it to Max's house, he's greeted with Jess. She makes her way down the steps. Her dress seems to ride up with every move she makes. Niall always knew that she was into short type of clothing. "You made it!" She gave him a hug and kiss on the cheek. He simply gives her a small hug but later brushes her off.

Both of them make their way into the house where they find the rest of the gang. All of them are laughing and as soon as they lay eyes on Niall, Max gets up from his seat with one hand out ready to give him a pat on his back. "Hey there pal! It's great you could make it!"

"So I've been told." He looks over at Jess who's sat down in a chair, her feet extended out while taking a sip of her drink. She pretends as though he isn't looking at her, but she knows he is. She's always been like that.

Max breaks the awkward silence with a bottle shoved in Niall's face. "Here! Have some! How about a night to forget about everything?" Staring at the bottle in his hand, Niall feels uneasy about this yet takes a huge swig. "Holy shit, Niall! You've got something on your mind you really want to forget!"

Everyone knew what Niall wanted to forget, but they all simply pretended as though they didn't. The mention of Rose would only make Niall leave, and that's not what any of them wanted. They wanted him to stay with them.

After a few more drinks and laughs, Niall gets up to take some fresh air outside. Closing the door behind him, he stares at the pool in front of him. A few minutes later the door behind him opens and closes. Looking behind him he sees Rose walking towards him. "Niall, are you alright?" As soon as she inches towards his face she's gone. It's just Jess. She clings onto him and he shakes her off. "What's the matter?"

"Nothing."

Jess comes closer to him. Her hand comes up to his face but he takes a step away. "Niall, look at me." She says sternly. He does and what comes next takes him by surprise. She grabs his face and kisses him.

Niall wants to pull away but then he remembers how Rose had said they were over and how she wasn't the perfect girlfriend type for him. What if she was saying the truth? What if they just had a connection which lasted for a few weeks and was supposed to eventually die off? This was his drunk thoughts getting the best of him. With all of this in mind, he grabs Jess's face and kisses her back. He can hear the guys cheering him on in the house, their plan had worked. "Niall." She says in between a kiss. "Hm?" He responds while kissing her neck. "Lets head to the guests room."
