Tonight, Rose and David are going to hang out. He takes her in his car to a small restaurant. "This looks pretty fancy, David. I feel a bit under dressed." She looks down at her jeans.
He takes her hand dragging her inside. "It doesn't matter. Either way, I think you look great."
Both of them are seated near the window which looks out at the streets and lights covering the trees as the cars and people pass by. "It's a nice night, don't you think?" David asks.
"Yea, I enjoy looking at the lights on the trees. Sets the mood." Rose says as she takes a sip of her water.
David stares at her, as if examining her face. This makes her a little uncomfortable. "What are you staring at?" She asks him.
"Just you." He smiles.
Rose can feel her heart beat fast. She knows where this is going and is afraid of hurting him. David has fallen for her, but she doesn't have any feelings for him even though it may seem as though she flirts. She decides on whether to tell him now that she doesn't plan on starting a relationship with him or if she should save it by the end.
"I was planning that maybe after this we could go to that one place everyone talks about where you can see the whole city and its lights."
Just as he finished his sentence, the person sitting behind them gets up abruptly walking out of the restaurant with their face covered.
Rose comes back to responding to David. "Uh, sure. I-I've heard about it before."

After their food, David escorts her to his car where they drive off to their next destination. Parking off in the distance, they decide to walk the rest of the way there. David throws his arm around her shoulders, she feels the chills run down her spine. When they reach the top, they find another car there as well. They don't make anything of it but make it to the edge where they see the city.
"It looks amazing!" Rose exclaims as she runs off to get a better look of it.
David follows her lead. "It's beautiful," he says, "just like you."
That was where he crossed the line. Rose takes a deep breath before opening her mouth to say something when the car door behind them opened wide. "Hey! Rose!" Jess yells as she walks out of the car practically half naked. David looks away instantly. "Would you like to know who's in the car with me?" Rose's heart drops. "Niall."
The words roll off of her tongue and Rose wants to erupt in tears once again. She pushes Jess out of the way opening the car door to find him putting his pants on. Rose shakes her head in disbelief. "Rose! This isn't what it looks like--"
"How could I of ever believed that we were going to get back together! It was all a lie wasn't it?" Niall jumps out of the car. "The whole talk we had and when we went to the carnival--you never broke up with her did you? I hate you!" She pushes him away.
David comes up to Rose in shock as to what he was hearing. "Talk? Carnival? You went to see him, Rose?"
She wipes her tears. "Yes, David. I lied to you twice in order to see him because I knew you wouldn't let me see him."
"And this is strictly why. Because he hurt you again!"
Niall pushes David away. "Rose you have to listen to me--"
"I did that once, I'm not doing it again!" She walks off.
Jess starts yelling insults at Rose as she storms off. "Shut up!" David exclaims to her. "And you stay away from her." He says to Niall.
"I saw what you were trying to do. She won't fall for you." Niall says before taking another path.
