Rose had to make sure that David wasn't anywhere near his window or even outside his house when she got inside her car. The last thing she needs is him finding out that she's going out and lied to him about having a big project to finish. Taking her phone out, she double checks the address then makes her way out of the driveway to the streets. She does feel butterflies in her stomach. She's seeing Niall again after their talk--but at a carnival...It's almost as if they're going on a date?

"No this isn't a date--he just had an extra ticket and needed someone to go with him--I-I mean you can't let money go to waste..." Rose says to herself as she makes a turn.

The rest of the ride there, she reminds herself what to do and what not to do. She can give him a hug when they meet up, exchange smiles, giggle (but not too much) and have a good time. She shouldn't hold his hand, flirt, make it seem as though they are on a date and most importantly, not kiss him. This is everything she tells herself over and over in her mind before reaching her destination.

Parking the car, she messages Niall telling him that she's made it. He instantly responds back saying he's at the entrance waiting for her. Getting out of the vehicle, Rose throws her jacket on heading towards the crowd of people. She eventually sees him standing there with the two tickets in his hand.

"Hey." Is the first thing she says when seeing him.

"Hi." He responds. "So, you want to head in?"

"You did invite me to the carnival, not to wait outside."

This makes his chuckle. "I missed your humor." He says as he walks off.

This takes Rose back a little. If he keeps making comments like this, she's bound to do one of the actions on her "don't do" list. Brushing his comment off, she walks behind him to the entrance where they present their tickets.

Niall decides that they first ride the Ferris wheel. Rose doesn't hesitate, instead she follows his lead once again. They stand in line waiting for their turn. "So why couldn't Jess come with you?" Rose asks.

The question kind of throws Niall off. "We--Uh, we broke up--actually I broke up with her..." Her heart skips a beat. He's single. "After our talk, I thought that it was best to get it over with. I mean her and I never really had a relationship like you and I did." He leans up against the rail sighing.

"Oh..." There he goes again with the comments.

"Yea, she wasn't happy about it but I don't care. Not like she actually liked me--It was all an act to get me back in the group. And I fell for it." He lets out a small laugh.

Rose has no idea how to respond to this.

Instead both of them walk as the people in front of them make their way to the front of the line. "Niall?" He turns his head in her direction. "Let's make this a fun night, alright?"

"Right ahead of you."
