A/N
I'm back, but just for this one for now. Happy late Valentines !
~
Harry woke up to an empty bed and frowned.
"Dray, honey?" He called, pushing himself up tiredly and placing his glasses on, "Darling?"
Exiting his room, he yawned and pouted. He had flowers, chocolates and a little card he made for his other half, but what if Malfoy had done better? However, he knew that it didn't matter.
He found the blonde asleep at the bottom of the stairs.
Although bewildered, he had an idea of what may of happened, considering it was Valentines day after all; he smiled and walked downstairs, gently kneeling next to him and shaking his side.
"Honey?"
Draco pulled his face back, giving a beautiful view of his double chin (everybody has those!) which made Harry giggle and press a little kiss to his forehead.
"Well, you can sleep on the couch. I'm sure it's more comfortable then the floor." He whispered, making the blonde jump up.
"Where's the breakfast?!"
"I've just woke up, calm down, I'll make it now." He narrowed his eyes and furrowed his eyebrows. How rude.
"No, not you dear. I must have fell asleep... All I remember is falling down the stairs. I was going to make you breakfast in bed... Who am I kidding, I can't even cook! I'm sorry, I'm trying, I'll do better-"
"Shush, I know you tried. And I love you for that. Now come here, you're getting a bruise near your eye. Silly boy!" He sighed, pressing his lips against it, earning a whimper in pain from Malfoy, "Now go and sit down, my love. I'll cook us breakfast." Harry smiled.
"I'll just have cereal, please, actually." He mumbled, quite embarressed of his fail at being the perfect boyfriend.
"Alright, just sit back and I'll make your favourite."
He poured cocopops in two bowls with milk, before sticking a spoon in them and handing one to Draco.
"Do we have to be the romantic couple on Valentines? Can't we just be that couple who just cuddles?" The Malfoy heir pouted, kissing his boyfriend as a thank you.
"Of course, dear."
"But before we do that... I, er... uhm..."
"Do you want your presents?" Harry raised an eyebrow, placing his food down, "Because I'll go and fetch them-"
"No, honestly, it's something else-"
"Don't you dare fucking break up with me on Valentines-"
"No! Just listen to me. Actually, I think it's better if I showed you..."
He got up and limped towards a cupboard; clearly he must have fell pretty badly, but Potter found his limp hot.
Licking his lips, he sat back smirking; undoing the knot that held his gown together, it revealed his body and boxers as he waited for Draco to return.
Soon he returned, carrying a huge canvas with a picture he'd clearly gotten printed of them two. Harry was wearing a green turtle neck that made his eyes pop, and Draco was wearing a blue button up, which Potter always claimed look perfect with his silver orbs. The canvas, as it only showed above their shouders, therefore wasn't a "sexy" one. It was Harry sticking his tongue and crossing his eyes behind his glasses as his wild hair was ruffled, reminding himself of his father, as Malfoy copied him as the blonde's side of his head pressed against the others cheek.
Draco blushed.
"S-sorry it's not that romantic, I just er, really like this photo..." He scratched the back of his neck, but the dark haired boy was staring at it in awe.
Slowly pushing himself up, he wandered over and wrapped his arms around his love.
"It's beautiful. I love it so much, it's honestly the best thing ever. Now, should we hang it up now the muggle way, or leave magic to deal with it?"
"Magic." He muttered, grinning, happy that his boyfriend liked his present.
"Alright," he chuckled, "now eat up your cereal! I'll go get mine... I'm afraid it's nowhere near as creative as your idea..." Harry mumbled, before sprinting up the stairs and gathering the presents.
When he came back down, Harry strode over to his boyfriend and handed him the presents.
"This is cheesy, I know-"
"CHOCOLATES!!" The old Slytherin squealed, pouncing on Potter, "Thank you!"
Before Malfoy left his grip, he shone a daft grin up at him and pecked his lips passionately.
"That's enough, you're morning breathe is shocking." Draco pulled a face of disgust, causing Harry to smirk.
"Really?" As the ex-Gryffindor repeatedly kissed the other, earning sounds of disgust, he smiled. This is all he wanted for valentines, not some fancy gift at all, - although he did love that canvas- because all he wanted was the love of his boyfriend.
When he finally released him, the other scrambled back to the sofa, smelling the light blue tulips, which were his personal favourite flower; after a big whiff, he replaced them with the nearly dead flowers in the water vase in the centre of the table, before throwing away the old crumpled ones. Then he chilled on the sofa, eating chocolates and watching a movie which Harry oh-so-kindly put on. The movie was "Blair Witch", and hell did they both love a good scare when they knew they could cuddle up to one another afterwards for 'safety'.
"Wait you haven't opened the card yet..." Harry pointed out. Draco, who had to take a double take before noticing that there was a card, picked it up and read the front. It made him cringe, and then giggle.
"Dear my sexy man, I think about you so much that I've sprained my wrist."
Harry flushed and burried his fce into the other sneck as he opened and read the words aloud:
"Dear Draco,
I love you so much, and I hope you never leave me. You're the one who gets my heart going faster than it should, and the one who makes me catch my breath in my throat. You're an amazing guy, funny and handsome, although sometimes too sassy for my liking, but I love you too much to change that. You're perfect just the way you are. You know I regret using sectumsempra on you, and I regret fighting against you all these years, but what had to be done, had to be done. I regret a lot of things, you know. But I don't regret saving you. Not one bit. I hope you realise this, because without you, my life wouldn't have been changed for the better. I'd be lost. I really need you, and love you to bits. I've wrote that a few times now, I'm sorry I'm ranting. Happy valentines day!
Love from
Harry xoxo."
Malfoy smiled and his cheeks were splashed with a dark red shade. Instead of saying anything, he just rested his head ontop of the one that was shoved in his neck and reread the card multiple times.
It was silent for a few minutes, before he finally spoke up.
"Oh Harry... I love you."
Potter didn't respond. He was a bit disappointed in the reply he had been given, so instead just stayed where he was.
"I'm sorry, that was rude. I love it when you rant, you're so cute. A-and what had to be done, had to be done, you're right, and dont worry about the sectumsempra thing... I-I don't really mind about that... Th-Thank you for er... saving me... I'm really grateful, honestly. I love you so much my hero, and you always make things romantic and, in this case," he closed the card again and chuckled, "dirty. You're just the whole package... I-I love you, I'm sorry if I don't say it much or fail at showing it..."
Harry grinned and looked up at him.
"I love you too." He whispered.
They both sat there, Potter cuddled up to lover, and Draco playing with the card between his fingertips, cherishing the nice things his boyfriend had said.
Valentines isn't about showing off, it's about enjoying a day with your lover, which is exactly what Harry and Draco made it about. They did the same as ever day, just dished out some gifts. None of them minded. They both loved each other too much to care.
