"Where's Scorpius?" Elena groaned to Albus, who just had an arm around her. She didn't notice him flinch and losen his grip, staring away as Harvey winked at him, nudging his head towards Elena. She sighed, "You wanna find Anvanna and I'll find Scorpius?"
"They're probably together, babe..." He muttered.
"Well let's just make sure, okay?" She turned and sighed as she stared at his lips. He looked away self consciously. "I love you... how was your lesson?"
He seemed to hide into himself more at this, crossing his arms as he stared at the ground, shrugging. "Good, good. Yours?"
"Good..." She chewed on her lip, "What did he say to you to make you storm off like that?"
He winced and Elena noticed.
"We don't have to talk about it." She said, though she desperately wanted to talk about it.
Albus didn't respond, and Elena took that as a signal.
"Okay, baby." She leaned up and kissed his lips which seemed cold, making her smile softly as she pulled back, "You cold?"
"No." He grumbled, and Elena kissed his cheek.
"I really love you, baby. I can't wait for tonight."
"Tonight?" He muttered in confusion, and Elena's smile dropped.
"It is this friday, right? Today?"
"Friday, friday, friday..." He wracked his brain, staring at his feet with furrowed brows as he chewed on his lip. Did he promise to buy her something? To take her somewhere? Jesus Christ, he didn't promise to have sex with her, did he? "Oh, shit, yeah. You're coming over, aren't you?"
And for the first time in the past hour or so, he had a genuine, wide grin on his face. Elena smiled.
"Is it tonight?"
"Of course, it is. I can't wait! I don't have anything special planned unfortunately, but we can watch something or do something you like or-"
"Stop stressing, we'll decide when we get there. Come on. You go find Anvanna and I'll track down Scorpius."
He smiled and kissed her passionately, clutching her face, finally showing a sign that he wasn't too miserable. She giggled as he pulled away and excitedly walked away, ready to explore the emptying school grounds as students continued to saunter out.

Elena found Scorpius listening to music with his earphones in on one of the benches in the school, staring at the hill in front of him, appearing deep in thought. She slipped onto the round bench to the right of him with a gap in between, making him take out his earphones as he went to check who it was. He looked away as he realised and went to put his earphones back in.
"Wait, Scorpius, I'm sorry."
"Okay, thanks for apologising." He said, managing to slip in one before she spoke again.
"No, honestly, I just thought you had hurt him again and I got mad. I forgot that you had feelings and you know what, I think it's just because I'm so overprotective of Albus now that you aren't with us to do it. I think since you've been gone I've just wanted to make sure Albus and Anvanna are okay first, you know? I guess I finally know how you feel..."
He shrugged as he stared at his phone that was off, chewing on his lip nervously.
"I don't like it when you're not around, Scorpius. Anvanna misses you and doesn't stop acting miserable without you." She grinned at him and he smiled slightly, but it still conveyed his misery, "Albus doesn't say it much but he misses you. I guess he's jealous of you finding a new best friend." She slipped up closer to him as he sighed, and she placed her head on his shoulder. "I miss you, too. I never tell you enough how much I love you, Scorpius. You're always the strong one that doesn't need to be reminded how much you're necessary," She softly held his hand, stroking it with her thumb and sighing at the coldness, "well that's what people think anyway. I bet you forget how much we love you a lot of the time. I just have an issue with being so emotional to you because I'm supposed to be strong to you. I want you to think of me as the strong one in the group, too. I want you to have one less person to worry about, you know? But I worry about you. Your poor broken nose. At least it matches with your poor broken heart now, hey?" She nudged him playfully and he forced out a smile, "Oh, you always try your best to keep everybody happy. We critisize you for caring so much but, Scorps," She released his hand, "If you don't care, then who will?"

Scorpius rubbed his temples. Or, at least, Elena thought. He was rubbing them for a bit too long.
"Uh, Scorps?" She carefully moved his hand, and when she saw tears running down his face and his eyes squeezed shut, she gasped. "Oh, please don't cry." She wrapped an arm around him as best as she could to comfort him, but he just sniffled.
"I'm not crying. Don't worry." His voice broke at the end, and Elena looked up at him with watery eyes. He quickly dried his eyes, trying to ignore his wavering voice, "El, no, look, I'm okay. I'm okay, Elena. Come on."
She shook her head. "You're not, Scorpius, stop lying and just admit it."
"I am!" He defended, starting to cry, "I am!"
"Scorpius... Come on, Scorps. Let's get you home and see if Albus found Anvanna." She sniffled and stood up, trying to be strong for him, "Come on, it's my turn to be strong now. You just let your emotions go."
He stood up and tried laughing it off. "You don't need to-"
"Scorpius, I won't tell anybody, okay? You can cry."
"I have no reason to cry." He stated firmly, as if to convince himself.
"You don't?" She asked, and he shook his head.
"No, my life's perfect." His voice broke again and she sighed.
"Come on, blondie. You wanna hold my hand so you don't get lost?" She teased, making him laugh through his tears. She held his hand nevertheless, him squeezing it as he tried to calm his breathing as they started to walk.
