Elena: Your mums pregnant. She's having twins, both girls, so the dad was reworking your room into a nursery. Said that your sister, who's like four now I think, found a school picture of you from under your bed and asked who you were. So that's what your dad was dropping off. Sorry, Al x

He reread it over and over as Scorpius was yelling on the phone.

"You told him?! DON'T EVEN COMMENT ON MY DAMN VOICE, ELENA! Why do you think I didn't tell him?! I KNOW HE'S YOUR BOYFRIEND, GODDAMMIT, THAT'S WHY YOU SHOULD HAVE REALISED THAT THIS WOULD HAVE HURT HIS FEELINGS! I will yell all I damn please, Elena. I told you that I would tell him! THERE'S A REASON WHY I DIDN'T!" He huffed, and Albus listened to him pause between each sentence and couldn't help the arising feeling that he had caused it. "HE DOESN'T DESERVE TO KNOW IF SHE'S HAVING A BABY! SHE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HIM ANYMORE! She's still his mum, huh? Where is she now then? HE'S JUST A KID LIKE YOU AND ME, ELENA! HOW MUCH DO YOU THINK HE CAN TAKE?! Oh, no, no, no, I will not put him on. You can't talk to him. You'll probably run your mouth again! I don't care! Cry all you damn want, Elena!"
Albus watched Scorpius wince at the pain his nose was causing from yelling, but he couldn't find the voice to stop him.
"I DON'T CARE! I AM YOUR FRIEND BUT I'M ALSO HIS BROTHER! YOU CAN'T TELL HIM STUFF LIKE THAT, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU KNEW HE WAS ALREADY UPSET AFTER HIS GRANDMA'S! Oh, do whatever you bloody want, Elena. This has nothing to do with Anvanna, don't involve my girlfriend." And at that he hung up. He turned around and looked at Albus.

Albus looked away.
"Albus, I'm sorry..." He said sympathetically.
"What are you sorry for? Did you impregnate her?" He tried to joke, but then just sighed.
"Albus, it doesn't matter that they're having a baby. Or babies, even. At least we have all your pictures now and you can start fresh. Cut them out for good." Scorpius sat beside the boy on the bed, staring forward, as was Albus.
"My sister asked about me. That's all I care about. What would they have said to her?"
Scorpius shrugged.
"No clue." He sighed, "I have a feeling they would have played it off as if they didn't know you. But either way, when she grows up, they can't stop you from reaching out to her."
"She's probably been told that I'm a stupid dickhead." He gulped, "I'm not... I swear I-I'm not that bad..."

"You're not bad at all. And maybe she thinks that, but you have your whole life to prove to her that you're not. And when she's eighteen, you can start. You can reach out to her, maybe on social media and that. But right now you're still a kid, too, Albus. And right now you have me, Draco, Harry, Lyra-"
"I get it." He muttered, and Scorpius smiled softly.
"You and Lyra were cute today, cuddled up together."
"You saw that?"
"Yeah. I moved your feet so I could sit down and watch some tv."
"Yeah... Lyra's cute." He sighed, and Scorpius rolled his eyes.
"Maybe you wish that was your sister instead, but it's not. And that's going to hurt because people take siblings for granted and you don't even have that chance. I realised that when you first moved in and you had a nightmare, y'know. I was so worried that you were going to do something or get hurt and since then I have never took you for granted. Even when I yell at you."
"I don't care about them." He muttered.
"Yes, you do. It's okay-"
"I don't! I just want to know why they didn't want me."
"Well, they're going to have three daughters soon... I'm guessing because you're a boy."
"But- so? They used to love me." He slumped, "Jesus Christ, everybody used to love me. Now my family don't want me and other people are either scared of me or don't want to know me."
"That's growing up. Everybody loves innocent children. Until they show how they really are, then everybody runs." Scorpius shrugged with a small smile, "Tell me about it, ay?"
Albus just chuckled sadly.
"How was Elena?"
"Sobbing like a baby. Felt bad for yelling but I told her not to tell you. I told her I would."
Abus looked at him and shook his head.
"You weren't going to. She was right. I did deserve to know. I'd rather deal with all the pain today so I can start fresh tomorrow than deal with some pain and have the rest tomorrow."
Scorpius hesitated before sighing.
"Yeah. You're right. I just thought you'd get really upset again and I just didn't want that. It was selfish, sorry."
Albus shrugged. "I wanna see how Elena is but I don't have the energy."
"You slept that much and you don't have the energy?"
Albus laughed weakly. "Just can't be bothered."
"Well just call her tomorrow then."
"No, 'cause you made her cry and then she'll be all upset." He grabbed his phone next to him on the bed.
"Yeah." Scorpius yawned and fell back onto Albus' bed, making him playfully roll his eyes and dial Elena.
