Chapter 8 Two New States Arise From The Ashes 1 In Trouble

Ravenwood was back to normal again after the attack on her with improves visibility being the woods surrounding the compound had been burned and blown up about fifty feet back further into the woods. The whole area was cleared and grassed over with a new lawn and some native plantings. The whole wall was repainted, and any repairs made to it, and further reinforcements added to protect all those within.

“Amalia, or Amalie please come to the office to pick up a message waiting here for you both.” Viorel called out to both of them on their new personal paging systems they each now carry in their watches.

“Be right there” chorused two voices back over the intercom, Viorel started laughing as long as she has know these twins they have always done this answering together wether it is you call one, or the other or both you hear both melodious voices call out back to you.

The rest of the group is in the dining room where Maria has just set out a nice breakfast for them to all start their day off with. Maria follows Amalia and Amalie into the office carrying a tray of food for Viorel she hasn't stopped working since she got up early in the morning.

“Morning Viorel a chorus of pretty voices called out as the girls walked into the office. “We have come to get that message you have for us” Amalia reached out her dainty arm in her direction to pick up the tablet with the messages. “What is this? A message from our mother the Queen!” Amalia showed her sister in a flash before reading what it said.

“I kind of miss mother we don't get to see her very much any more.” Amalie stated reminiscing back to the good old days. She was always mommy's girl out of all the twins. “What does it say?”

“Only that the attack on the compound last month had something to do with that large group we are after that is trying to kill off all of us and the High Council to put a stop to all our control. Mother said to be extra careful while we are out on any missions especially any that have to do with calling out the whole group like that one time by the UK. Their informers have said they are setting up a trap to try to kill us all at the same time so just be careful. Love Mom Queen Verena High Council” Amalia read off from her tablet.

Let's take that up to the rest of the group and show them what mom just said it's important everyone knows.” Amalie turned reaching for Amalia's free hand dragging her along with her. “Come along slow poke let's go. I am hungry, and I need a cup of blood I feel drained this morning! I didn't sleep well last night.” She tugged on her sisters hand almost knocking her over in the process.

“Gee, slow down we won't get there any quicker if you have to drag me across the floor behind you.” Giggle. Amalia laughed at her sisters antics, now she knows her sister is hungry when she tripped up the last step to the hall that heads for the dining room.

“I hope you saved me some I am starving. Move over Sandu give a girl some room to sit why don't you. Oh and please pass the container of blood I am famished.” They were all laughing at Amalie as she drank first one then another tall glass of blood then pored herself a third before getting up to fix her plate of food from the sideboard table where there were plates full of food still sitting on warming plates. “Show them what mother just sent us Amalia they really need to see that!” Amalie excitedly pointed to the tablet and motioned for her to hand it over to Sorin to read.

“This isn't good did you forward this to our UK office for them to read?” Sorin asked “Never mind I see up top it came to you both and was sent to your sisters Emari and Emmie back home in the UK.” Sorin handed Catarina and Ceferina the tablet so they could both look at, over his shoulder where they were standing. Sandu was sitting patiently eating, waiting to see it when they were done.
