Chapter 11 Fire Rains Down From The Sky

The sky has been cloudy, and rains fell all day, a chill is in the air, and it looks like the weather could take a turn for the worst by nightfall or so the weatherman said. SNOW! The first of the season could fall tonight here at Ravenwood manor. Everyone is snuggled up inside the sitting room by the large fireplace, a roaring fire is going inside casting it's yellow and red glow dancing upon the stone floor.

Three couples snuggled together, huddled into a mass of arms and bodies and legs, wrapped in comfy blankets, watching flames dancing their magical-melodious dance. A dance in the fireplace, right there in front of them, mesmerizing them with it's colorful dance; so hot so dangerous, but ever so pretty all at the same time.

They are lost in each others arms it is so romantic they while away the evening this night, relaxing a fire inside the snow coming down outside. Life so perfect for a short period in time! If it could only stay this way “IF” being the optimum word here, but things never stay quiet and perfect for the Enforcers. NO!

Two days after the blizzard of 2032 the worst storm in over 700 years thanks to global warming and the reduction of the ozone layer, with 11 ½ feet of snow on the ground with drifts of 18 feet or higher in places. They had to use the snow remover machine for the airfield to remove all the snow from around the compound perimeter walls both inside and out along with removing the snow from the taxiway and the airfield. They worked for three days straight to get it all done starting when it started snowing. A call came in on the second day as the guards had finished removing all the snow from around the walls.

Texas / New Mexico border a large meeting is gathering steam is reported by several vampire clan members in the area. They are having trouble with the local werewolf pack in that area. Several members of their clan were threatened by the Alpha of the pack to keep their mouths shut when they found out about the big meeting soon to go on. They reported it back to their clan leaders and are now under house protection for their personal safety. The Enforcers are now headed down to meet up with the clan leaders Elder Donato to see what is going on, it sounds like more of the same group trying to take over the world.

The clan elder Donato at Tucumcari, NM who called the Enforcers about the gathering has just met them at the Tucumcari, NM Airfield a rather small airfield which took a masterful pilot to land their large jet on such a small field, but that is just what they employ. Now they are all heading to elder Donato's home on the far side of town to meet with the two men that found out about the meeting of the wolves.

They unknowingly drive right past a large building in the center of town behind the grocery store passing through to the Elder's house that was the actual meeting spot. It was already packed with wolves from across Texas and New Mexico assembling for tomorrows meeting. They are being bussed in from all parts of the two state area so as not to draw attention to all the vehicles in the parking lot.

They arrive at the Elders house driving through the gated compound up to a two story all brick building built in the turn of the century. It is built in the mission style with a clay tile roof of a pink color.

There are several dozen cars parked in the side lot of the house as we pull into it, pulling into the parking garage. The outside of the house is lite up with many LED spot lights illuminating all around the outside of the house and the walkway right up to the front door we are heading toward. Once inside we are lead into a large plush office toward the rear of the first floor of the house where the two men are waiting on us.
