Chapter 39 The Awakening

We had the day to rest up a bit before our meeting that night between all the family members our head guards and our office in Germany listening in over the conference phone. It was a packed conference room with all us girls seated with our mates and Viorel taking notes of the meeting. Julie was sitting by Viorel's side just in case she needed a hand with anything. The children where there along with both nannies Wilda and Stela to handle taking care of them. We left no one of importance out of this meeting. It was for the good of the entire group and involved everyone in the manor. Maria and Tamsin were even there serving drinks and snacks to every one while listening in.

My sister Amalia called the meeting to order right at 8 PM tonight to get it started as I brought up the maps on the western front I had taken just an hour earlier. “Thank You Emmie,” my sister said to me when I was done. “Now as you can all see this is the latest view of the invading forces, The Awakening as they call themselves. You can see they have enmeshed quite a few followers in their plight against us. This is where they are and here are our allies” Amalia was pointing at the map with her laser pointer. “We have them blocked off from advancing in this direction.” She was pointing toward the northeast. “Now this part over here to the south we stopped them from moving around us two times already.” again Amalia was pointing to a section just near Santa Rosa New Mexico “They keep trying to find a way to move forward along the I 40 corridor but luck has been on our side up till now.” She was shaking her head side to side. “I fear they will succeed in finding a way around at the rate they keep trying if we don't do something to help out our allies quickly.”

I pulled up another map of the area showing a closer view of what Amalia was talking about further to the west along I 40 showing the arrival of several large trucks, a few semi trailers, and few flatbeds trailers loaded down with goods being brought forward to the invaders. At the present they are just to the west of the largest group just to the east of the I 40 / I 25 junction in the little town of Moriarty, New Mexico. The second, but much larger group has held back for some reason back in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where another large group of trucks is following their group along. They are on the flat lands to the east at the top before going down into Albuquerque.

“If these trailers are loaded down with supplies like we saw them loading into the one we blew up when they were leaving our area then it is safe to say that at least one has some kind of explosives. The rest will be filled with food tents and other necessaries for the large group they are supplying.” Catarina explained to everyone in the room.

“I didn't see any reports about you blowing up a trailer Catarina! When did this happen and why didn't I get a report on it?” Mother the Queen asked, everyone in the room shuttered with the demanding wave that she broadcast out through the room it sent shivers up and down my spine as I am sure it did to everyone else.

“Your Majesty!... Mother!... You should have it in front of you right now. My deepest apologies It was just an over sight from early this morning. Please forgive me... It was just a slip up here on my part. I am truly sorry it won't happen again.” I told my Queen... mother hoping she would see reason for my mess up.

“Yes. Yes. I see what you did here in your report dear daughter Emmie, but it still is no excuses for not doing your reports in a timely matter. I will take this up with you at a later time.” I... Crap just what I didn't need right now more to worry about from my mother. I shuddered thinking.

“Yes Your Majesty at your convince we will deal with this matter at a later date.” I cringed what will she do to me she sounded really pissed.

“Emmie do you think you can do this again? Take out the ones you showed us earlier on the map?” mother asked.
