Chapter 41 Fighting Mad

The sun came up that morning over the enemy, Emmie and Icka are out running the compound on a mommy daughter day out relaxing finally having a day to themselves back at Ravenwood. It has been so long since they have spent any time together.

On the western front it was a different matter through there was no relaxing, no bonding, no pleasantries. The only thing they were doing was running around gathering up what little supplies they had left to feed their army of wolves so they could attack the one holding them back. This was going to be a full scale attack with both groups combined. When the trailer was crushed holding all the meat and other refrigerated supplies and drinks, they immediately made a call out to their forward group calling them back to join up with this group making them over 1500 strong.

The Awakening amassing into a solid group with one objective on their minds. To break through those holding them back from their main objective and head up to Pennsylvania to attack the main compound of the Enforcers; head on and in force. No more playing around they were going to hit the compound with everything they had left and break through the impenetrable compound and kill everyone there. That was their plan even if they had to walk over their own dead bodies to walk over our walls to get inside the walls; they would do whatever they had to do to get inside to kill the Enforcers off. To Kill us off.

“BEEP BEEP BEEP” SLAM “~”~”~CRACK~”~”~” “Opp!... Dammit there goes another alarm clock. Again!” I mumbled frustrated at myself half asleep. I was just coming out of my sleep induced fog that I was in. Too many hours without sleep along with days of stress induced waiting for the werewolves to make their move. Tied in with all the planning that went into the satellite attacks on their trucks and the finally the outcropping I dropped down on their food truck. It is no wonder I am so stressed out and tired that eight hours of restless sleep feels like I forgot to go to bed in the first place. Looking over at the once working clock on my now cracked marble nightstand that is smashed to bits I give in to a little giggle. I have to giggle or I will just have a nervous brake down and be totally worthless to everyone.

And to answer everyone's question yes we shapeshifters can have nervous break downs, but it isn't pretty we usually go into a kind of shift where we have no knowledge of who or what we are and then go on a killing spree. If we are lucky we will snap out of it with the help of family and friends just before we take it that far. It isn't very pretty thing to see. If not the only recourse is to kill the offending Shapeshifter. That would have been me; Emmie.

I get up shower, dress into comfortable clothing, I pretty lavender shift dress that goes all the way down to my feet with tiny embezzlement around my breast and neckline in a matching Lavender jewel color. I reach for my matching lavender flats to be comfortable. Head down to breakfast with the gang because I notice little Icka is gone from the room this morning, Stela must have removed her so I could sleep a little later. Stela is such a dream to have as a nanny for Icka.

The gang is already eating when I walk into the dining room. I walk over to the serving table to load up a plate with a few of my favorite breakfast goodies. Bacon, wheat toast with lemon butter, scrambled eggs, coffee and my usual cup of Royal blood. I take my seat by Anton with everyone watching my every move. “What?” I ask looking around at everyone watching me. “Am I late for something?” I ask again. All I get is smiles and strange looks from everyone. “OK, What is it with you all come on give it up?” I ask again. This is getting so frustrating.

“You did it!” Rina spoke first. I whipped my head around in her direction to she what she was going to say.

“Yes you sure did!” My head spun in the opposite direction it was Amalia that spoke up this time I turned to see if she would elaborate more; she didn't.
