Chapter 26 You Can Hide But We Are Tracking You

A month has passed since our mother had called with the information on the retired High Council member that defected to the evil side. The traitor has been spotted here and there across the border between the US and Canada bouncing back and forth between both countries. The latest spotting was in Oakville, Ontario near a lighthouse just south west of Toronto, Canada.

We have spotters throughout that entire area, some Vampire clan leaders and some Alpha pack leaders. We even have a witch coven up in Alberta Canada, all on the lookout for one single solitary person, the traitor. Each and every one of them are all loyal to the High Command of the High Council, and to us here in the US at Ravenwood the Enforcers.

Now here we sit twiddling our thumbs waiting on any kind of orders from our office in Germany with news to head out, or a call from one of these spotters; that they have defiantly seen him in their sector before we can do anything. Training has become totally boring with everyone in the manor becoming stir crazy; getting on each other last nerve. The arguing alone is driving everyone nuts. The babies are growing by leaps and bounds, they are both walking now and just starting to talk gibberish, which is what it sounds like to us, but it seems the two babies understand each other.

Their magic is also coming in to them slowly. They can hide from everyone, but their own mothers, seems mother can find them even when no one else can see when they disappear invisible to the rest of the group. Amalia and Catarina will just disappear and come back with the little ones in their arms, no hiding from their mothers.

They have heard from Emmie and she is having the same exact problem over in the UK with young Icka. The little doll is popping off and mother has to chase her all over the manor. Then she will pop up in the strangest places usually in mothers arms after mother catches her. When it first happened it took them a day to find her till mother went invisible; then there she was right behind mother hiding in plane sight. Cute little devil.

Now it's like a game all three children play with their parents; kind of like hide and seek, but with the mystery of invisibility thrown in for good measure. Where the children think it is fun the mothers think it is good practice for the future, daddy's don't like not being able to find their children one little bit. This may be a game to the children and mommy, daddy can't protect them if he can't watch them 24/7 when he is home, so he keeps saying. Poor sport daddy, just because he can't play he wants to lay down the laws of the house against the games, just more proof that they are going nuts with nothing to do in the manor.

Another three weeks pass still no word. They call the High Council up in Germany for a high level meeting with their parents the King, Queen and their advisers Lord and Lady Camdon & Blaine. The entire US group is down in the office meeting room on a conference call ready to start the meeting. The Queen begins.

“I know you are all sitting there waiting for word from us here as to where Clyde the traitor is. To this date we have only sketchy information from various spotters across Canada and the North Eastern US at the present time. We get one single sighting of him then he vanishes not to be seen for several days hundreds of miles away. The next sighting he is back fifty miles past the first sighting. Then he is gone again and shows up just ten miles from the town of Toronto.” The Queen was sounding really frustrated with this guy and the crummy intel she had for us. “The one thing we do know is that he is staying in a four hundred mile radius of the Toronto and Niagara Falls area.” 

Now that was the best news we have had in several months, it has been dead quiet with the packs that are trying to take over. We do know they are setting up for a massive attack on us, but we have no idea of the what, where, or the when. We only know with this one werewolf on the loose who knows us so well we have us a really big problem, he is danger with a capital D for us. If he is going from place to place informing groups about our weaknesses, then we are really screwed over.
