Chapter 6 (Sky)

"Leave them alone!" I yelled at the recruits as I got out of Ian's grip and ran towards them, shoving the recruits away.
"We can't put everyone at risk! We need to kill the enemies's species!" One yelled back.
"Then kill me." I demanded, my voice void of emotion.

They stared at me, confused and shocked, probably thinking I'm crazy. "If you think everyone in the enemy species are evil and must be killed, then do so and kill me," I demanded. "because you think we're freaks and just because of that want to kill us then do so, starting with me!" I yell at the top of my lungs, attracting the attention of almost everyone in the area, including the guards.

"Me too!" Jason shouts as he comes up to stand beside me.
"Me three." Quentin says as he steps up.
"Number four right here!" Ian calls out as he comes next to us.
"Make that six." Jerome says as he stands, holding Mitch close to his chest.
"Wrong, make that all of us!" A voice booms from above us.

I look up to see Ty flying in his ender form with Seto on his back. They land behind us and I take off my sunglasses, throwing them to the side and exposing my secret. They were bound to find out eventually, so why not now.

I look to my left to see Jason in his wither form, a black and red dragon who I think is Ian, Ty in his ender form, and Seto as a blaze hybrid. I look to my right and see Quentin as a fish thing that I think's called a mudkip, Jerome as a bacca, and Mitch leaning against his shoulder with eyes that had red pupils and the part that was supposed to be white was black, small claws, fangs, and was holding his golden dogtags in his hand. I glance back at the crowd of recruits. They're all scared of us, from what I can tell.

A boy in a blue checkered hoodie pushes his way to the front. He stands in front of Mitch and drops two diamond swords before putting his hand over his heart. "I will forever stay loyal to my general, whether he be a demon or not, it makes no difference to me. Mitch is my general, and my heart lies with him and his army, no matter what!" He exclaims, a Bajan Army recruit. "Yeah! We're loyal down to our dying breaths!" A girl with an orange star tattoo on her cheek cheered as she pumped her fist in the air, a Star Army recruit. A pair of twins who were holding hands and had budder swords raised in the air started cheering, fellow Sky Army recruits. I smile as more and more recruits start to cheer, all but a handful that stood in front of us with the two that were going to kill Mitch.

I noticed that the two were Bajan Army recruits.

"Who do you two think you are," I scream at them, "trying to murder your own army's general just because he's different than you?!"

I hear Mitch whisper something to Jerome. "Leave, traitors." He growls lowly, wrapping his arm around Mitch's shoulders. The two back to have three Bacca Army recruits point their swords at their necks. "He said leave. Now leave!" Ty screeches at them. They back into the crowd and start to run, shoving people out of the way to get to the gates. Such civilized and gentle people.

Ian roars happily then shifts back to a human and nearly collapses. "It is not fun to hold that form for that long." He says as he stumbles and falls onto Jason. Jason catches him when he passes out. Mitch falls limp in Jerome's arms. Seto leans back on Ty and falls asleep as Ty carefully puts him on his back and starts to fly towards the hospital.

"Yeah, we're all about ready to pass out." I mutter as I fall backwards on the ground. Quentin came over and picked me up, walking in the direction that Ty had flown. He's surprisingly strong for how he looks. I look over his shoulder to see Jerome carrying Mitch on his back and Jason levitating Ian as they follow us. When we get to the hospital, the nurse leads us to a room where Quentin drops me onto a bed then starts helping get Ian and Mitch situated.

I lay back on the bed and close my eyes, letting exhaustion and weariness paint my world black as I pass out.
