Chapter 14 (Melody)

I saw Sir Mitch and Sir Jerome kiss and smiled to myself. They're cute together. I sigh and climbed back down the tree I was sitting in, carefully sneaking away from the scene. I wade through the trees of the forest before coming to a cave with an invisibility sphere around it. 

I step into the sphere and open the door behind it. My home. Humming, I let my hair down and grab a stone sword from off the wall. I grab my quiver and bow, slip them on my back, wrap a black cloak around my shoulders, then go back outside for some hunting.

While I searched for animals, I heard voices.

"Why do you think there aren't any animals out here?"
"I don't know. Hibernation?"
"It's the middle of spring."
"Well then, I don't know!"
"We'd be lucky if even a,"

I didn't listen to the rest of the conversation. I put my sword into my quiver and shifted to my wolf form. Slowly, I tried to sneak across the clearing, but stepped on a stick. It snapped under my weight, making the people quickly turn towards me and shoot an arrow at me. I quickly ran across and into the cover of the trees, but was hit by the arrow halfway and wound up skidding the rest of the way. I shifted back to a human and fell to the ground.

The arrow was lodged in my leg, that's why I couldn't stand! Why must it always be me, the one werewolf who doesn't wanna hurt people or chase them away!

I hear footsteps coming towards me and quickly act like I've passed out. I hear someone gasp. The same two voices start rambling;

"We shot a girl!"
"Ooooohhh, the General is not going to like this!"
"We need to get her some help."
"Agreed, Kip."
"You're stronger than me, Allen, you carry her and I'll carry her things."
"Alright."

Someone picks me up, I AM NOT COMFORTABLE IN A STRANGER'S HANDS. I start to feel woozy and my head starts spinning thanks to blood loss. Before long, I had actually passed out.
