Chapter 17 (Seto)

"Sky, don't lock yourself in your room for another week." Quentin said.
"Too late." Sky slammed his bedroom door shut and we heard a small click.
"Sky, babe, please don't do this again!" Ty pleaded.
"We all want to find Jason, trust us," Mitch said. "But locking yourself away from us isn't going go help us find him."

I readied a simple disappearing spell to use on Sky's door. "Seto, don't even try to make the door disappear again. I've magic-proofed my room from the last time you did." His muffled voice huffed from behind the door. Of course he did, I thought and dropped my hands to my sides.

"Sky," I started.
"No," He cut me off. "Leave me be, guys."
"Young man, open the door this instant," I huff.
"Or what, dad? You'll ground me?" He snaps.
"Before I dump a bucket of holy water on Ty!" I finished.
"You wouldn't dare,"
"Would you like to bet on that?"

Sky unlocked the door, opened it, grabbed Ty, closed the door, and locked it again, "MINE." He hissed through the door. Well, that idea went out the window. Then my phone vibrated. "I'll be back in a minute." I said as I took my phone out of my cloak pocket.

I turned it on and checked the caller ID. Brice. "Brice, now is not the time!" I said as I accepted the call and held the phone to my ear.

"Seto, this is important!" He said.
"Not right now, Sky's locked himself in his room again and--"
"I have a theory on how you can get Jason back!" Brice cut me off.
"Hold on a second, I'm putting you on speaker," I tuned to the guys as I hit the speaker phone button. "You guys should hear this."

"Soul of a Wither-Human hybrid found wandering the Eastern Bay's forests, calling out for help. He has the appearance of the hybrid form of General Jason of the Star Army, who recently was kidnapped by squids. Recruits of the armies have tried getting close to him only to have him lash out while calling the name of one person; Tyler Brotato. This exact person was taken from his family by the squids five years ago and hasn't been seen since, until now. He was found in the forest outside the walls of the Rosetta Village and is being held their currently. The two men may have a connection," Brice read off something. "If we want to find him, this Tyler kid is our first clue."

"Meet us at the gates to the Infinity Clan's old base in an hour. Thank you so, so, so much, Brice!" I said super quickly.
"No problem! See you then, love ya, sugar!" He said with enthusiasm practically dripping from his words.
"Bye, love you too, darling." I hung up and looked up from my phone to the guys. They had this look, just asking what was going on between Brice and I without words.

"What? Never came up in conversation. Anyway, we gotta get going now if we wanna make it there in time." I put my phone away as I ran down the stairs, the guys following me.              

There was a BANG and a loud CRASH and then Sky was sliding down the railing, Ty running after him. After they passed me, I jumped over the railing and nearly crashed into the wall. Nearly. I ran outside, the guys catching up to me and people moving out of the way as we made our way to the gates.

I used my magic to lift the gates up for the others. "CALL BACK THE SEARCH PARTIES, I'M LEAVING JORDAN, TAYLOR, MELODY, JEWEL, NICO, ROXY, AND AMARA IN CHARGE WHILE WE'RE GONE! CALL ONE OF US IF THERE'S AN ATTACK, WE GOTTA GO," Sky shouted. "Come on, Seto!" I followed them out and dropped the gate behind me.

Before going to the meeting spot with Brice, we stopped by a tree house all of us made together when we were kids. We use it to hide our extra travel supplies in case we needed them. I picked up my satchel and put it over one shoulder so it rested on the opposite hip. I also found my spell staff, take that just in case.

I put a cloaking spell around us so no mobs could see us and hoard us. It had to be pretty big for all of us, and was pretty hard to keep up with without passing out. I started slowing down so I put a speed acceleration spell on myself so I could keep up with the others and not raise suspicion. When we got there I sat down with my back against a rock and closed my eyes, trying to regain my mana without falling asleep.
