Seto lifts the spell and Jason and Ty continue to flip each other off as they curse their hearts out. I perk up at the tiniest noise the door makes as it opens, which no one else seems to notice over Ty and Jason screaming.
"State your name and why you're here." I say and everyone goes silent.
"Amara Rin Sunmay, Sir. I have come to report a disturbance in the Sorcery Army's branch to my general, Sir." A female voice says.
"Let me guess, Miss Sunmay, was it the werewolf rouge?" Seto asked.I turned to face this girl. She had curly brown hair and brown eyes hidden behind black, square framed glasses and wears a gray jacket, blue skinny jeans, and blue sneakers. This girl is a Sorceress? And what werewolf rogue? We don't have any werewolves here.
"Lead me to her." Seto sighs.
"I'm coming with. I haven't gotten word of this "werewolf rogue" and I would like to see them for myself." I demanded stubbornly.Amara groans in annoyance and motions for us to follow her. I smirk, knowing she knows I'm too stubborn for her to say otherwise. We follow her far into the Sorcery Army district and an explosion goes off by the back wall. I'm full on sprinting towards it in less than a second.
Training Sorcerers are firing spells at a female figure in a dark cloak. She's dodging most of them, but one hit her ankle and she falls to the ground, whimpering. The trainees prepare another round of spells and my eyes widen. They're gonna kill her!
I run into front of the girl and throw my arms out to protect her as they release the spells. The spells hit me and I fall to my knees, griping my side in pain. I look back at the girl, "Are you okay?" She gives a quick nod before I fall on my side, coughing up blood. I hear a low growl as a blood red wolf limps in front of me and glares at the trainees.
Amara and Seto came running up to the side. Amara summonded a bow and some arrows before notching an arrow and pointing it at the wolf. The wolf didn't seem to notice, instead it crawled closer to me and nudged my arm, whimpering sadly. I want to reach out and pet it, tell it I'm fine, but I can't move or speak.
Amara draws the string on the bow back, signaling that she's ready to fire. She swings around to face the trainees at the last second and the arrow fires straight at them. She and Seto rush over and crouch down beside me. Seto rolled me onto my back.
That was when I closed my eyes. Seto was chanting and Amara was shouting. The low growling from the wolf changed into a girl's soft voice asking if I was okay. I felt myself being picked up, but I still couldn't move or talk. After a few minutes, I was put down.
I had to wait with nothing to say and nothing to do for an hour!
When I could finally move, my eyes flickered open and I slowly sat up. My vision was blurred but it cleared up after a minute and I saw three recruits sitting in a triangle by the wall.
The first looked to be around eighteen years old with hazel brown hair and calming violet eyes. She wore a sea blue hoodie over a black shirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers. From the way she acted, she seemed like a calm person. She had white eagle wings folded neatly behind her that held a budder colored tint. She had a budder sword at her side and a small neon green star imprinted on her hand.
The second seemed around sixteen years old and had white hair with pink streaks, one violet eye and one budder eye. She's wearing a white hoodie with a pink trim, blue jeans, and white sneakers. She was super jumpy and excited. She had fox ears, a tail, and small claws for fingernails. She had a budder sword and a diamond sword strapped to her back and a neon green earing.
The third one looked to be the youngest of the three, age eleven or twelve. She had short white hair with a streak of pink through her bangs. She had the same eyes as the second girl, one violet and one budder colored. She wore dark blue headphones, a light blue hoodie, blue jeans—jeez they like blue jeans—and blue NIKEs. She had fox ears, a tail, and small claws as well. She kept a budder sword at her side and dogtags hanging from her neck.
Sisters, I presume?
The second one notices me and leaps up, rushing to the side of the bed. "General!" She chirps. "Who are you?" I ask. "Oh! I'm Jewel Cassy Fox, sir. Over there is my younger sister, Roxy Elsna Camaz, and our older sister, Nico Rommas Jackson." Jewel introduced.
A girl opened the door and peered inside. I recognized her as the one I saw before the wolf. I finally got a good look at her. She looked around seventeen years old, had blood red hair held in a messy bun, brown eyes, and mocha colored skin. She wore black pants and a blue and white striped tee shirt, and odd as it is wasn't wearing shoes.
"I, um, w-wanted to see i-if General Sky w-was okay after..." she trailed off. "I'm fine, but who are you? I mean like your name and stuff, I know you're the girl I saved." I said. "O-Oh! Um, m-my name i-is Melody." She stutters. She seems really nervous around people.
And then Ty came crashing through the window.
OKAY THEN.
"OHMYGODSKYYOUAREOKAYIAMSORRYIWASNOTTHEREFORYOUIWILLNEVERLEAVEYOURSIDEAGAINBECAUSEILO--" He cut himself off.
Wait, was he about to tell me that he loves me?
