"Tes sah Nus Der Eht!" I shouted, feeling a pang of guilt when Ross cried out in pain. "Shelby get the chains!"

"What's going on?" Brice asked.

"No time to explain, Tim get them to the safehouse." I ordered. Tim nodded, herding them away from the situation.

"No, let us help!" Adam, or Sky, demanded. I shook my head, grabbing Ross's arm and leading him away from them.

"Max, what's going on?" Ross asked, looking up at me with a hint of fear in his eyes.

"You'll be okay, just let us do this," I said softly. "Red, Barney, barricades. Jin, get the demon's trap set. Cory, Nick, find the guards and tell them not to let anyone other than Aph, Jin, and I in until I say so. Aph, set up a cot in the med tent. Aaron, equip the guards to face this thing. Levin, Malachi, get yourselves and your sisters to the safehouse, answer any questions the generals may have. C'mon people, let's go!"

"Max?"

"You'll be okay Ross, don't worry, okay?" I felt terrible, but we have to do this.

The Redstoner must not escape. Or else so much worse will happen, to the world, to us, to Ross.

It's been two hours. Ross was chained to a cot in the medical tent, a demon trap set under him and all sorts of binding charms around him. I sigh, looking to the ground and running my hand through my hair.

"Uncle Max," Malachi opens the entrance to the tent, speaking to me. "The generals want to see you."

"Thanks kid," I sigh, standing up. We leave the tent, wandering to the safehouse.

As soon as we walk in, "I demand to know what's going on!" Adam yelled.

"Sky, calm down," Ty said.

"Ty, no. If something is happening, I want to help--"

"Shut it, Adam!" I snapped, "I have a lotta reasons not to let you help, so accept it and sit the hell down right now!"

"You're not my dad, Max. Let me help already, damnit!" He argued, stepping towards me.

"There's nothing you can do!" I yelled, "If there was a way to help don't you think I would have done it already?!"

"Yeah, unless this is on--"

"Don't you dare accuse me of doing this to Ross on purpose! Ross is the one good thing in my life and I love him, why the hell would I do that?! Don't you think that I care and would do anything to help him if I could?! Don't you dare ever say that again, back off!" I yelled, flames of rage flickering in my palms and eyes. Aaron and Jin held me back from attacking him as I screamed.

"Max, calm down, he didn't mean it!" A sudden scream came from the medical tent.

"Ross!" I threw them off me, running out of the safehouse. I burst into the med tent, seeing Ross was awake and screaming, struggling against the chains pinning him down.

"Max? Max, what's going on, I'm scared," He was himself and terrified. I ran over, unchaining him. He sat up, throwing his arms around my neck as he let a few tears fall. I quietly shushed him, petting his hair. "Max, what happened?"

"It's okay, Ross. You're alright, you're safe, Princess," I whispered, pulling away and kissed away his tears. He giggled softly from the name, wiping away oncoming tears. "Don't cry, okay?"

"Okay,"

Without thinking, I just leaned down and kissed him, wrapping my arms tightly around his waist. After a moment he leaned into the kiss, my heart melted. I pulled away, hugging him again. He smiled, hugging me back.

Notch, I'm so glad he's okay.
