Louis' P.O.V.
"Oh my god, how long are they gonna have us sit here!"
"Calm down Louis we don't know how long it takes." Rebecca said comforting me for about the hundredth time today.
"I'm sorry, I just want to know if Hayden is safe wherever she is."
"Don't worry, I know Hayden and she is strong. She's not gonna let her dad win this time." Rebecca said confidently
"I hope so." I said with a sigh
Just then the door opened and Officer Frank walked through it.
"We were able to trace the call back to the location!"
"Well then what the hell are we doing sitting here?" I said "Let's go get my girl back where she belongs!"
We ran to the police car and Officer Frank typed the location into the GPS. Soon we were speeding down the streets to go rescue Hayden.
Hayden's P.O.V
When I woke up I wasn't sure where I was, but then I remembered I ran into Mary's house to ask for her help. Thank god she was home and that she remembered me or else I would still be wandering around, or my dad would have caught me by now.
I got up and walked out of the bedroom to find Mary cooking something in the kitchen.
"Oh good Hayden honey you're awake!" She said
"Yea! Thank you so much Mary, you don't know how much this means to me! You saved my life."
"Oh sweetheart I'm so glad I could help! How could anyone hurt a precious angel like you?" She said giving me a hug.
"Did anyone call for me while I was sleeping?" I asked hopefully
"No, I'm sorry sweetie, the connection isn't very good out here."
A tear rolled down my cheek
"Oh ok."
"Oh dear please don't cry. Everything will be ok."
She rubbed my back in an attempt to comfort me.
"I...I don't think anyone is looking for me anymore." I said quietly.
"That is not true! Keep hope sweetheart, give it time thats all."
"Thank you."
"Don't worry about it honey! Now why don't you sit down and have some of this soup that I made for you." Mary said hugging me.
"Awe thank you Mary, it looks delicious, and I'm starving!"
Mary walked over to the stove and poured me some soup.
"Here you go!" Mary said smiling
"Thank you very much"
I said for the 20th time now
We sat in silence while I sipped on my soup. It wasn't an awkward silence though, it was a peaceful kind of silence. I remember sitting in this exact spot when I was younger. I used to come over here all the time when my dad would pass out. Mary always knew what to do.
Oh what I would give to have my mom with me right now. I know if she was still around I would have never been treated this way. My dad might have been a good guy if he had her in his life.
I don't even know what's going to happen to him. Surely the police are going to find him and lock him up. I may never see him ever again. But that doesn't change what he did to me and how he made me feel. It's hard for me to say this, but he is going to get what he deserves.
