Hayden's P.O.V

It has been 3 more weeks since I have returned home from the hospital. I am not in as much pain anymore. The occasional migraines still happen, but not as badly.

I woke up to a sleeping Louis. He was breathing softly and he looked absolutely perfect. I leaned over and kissed his cheek before getting out of bed. I made my way downstairs to start making breakfast. As I stood in front of the stove whisking eggs, I felt a pair of arms snake around my body.

"Morning gorgeous." Louis whispered into my ear in his morning voice.

He kissed my neck then turned me around so I was facing him. I giggled and gave him a soft kiss on the lips.

"Good morning. I didn't think you would be up this early." I said to him, knowing he usually sleeps in until at least noon.

"I noticed you weren't there, and I couldn't sleep." He pouted.

"Oh you are such a baby." I laughed. He just gave me his puppy dog eyes and tilted his head to one side like a child.

I couldn't help but smile at how adorable he was. There really aren't any words to describe him. He is perfect in every way. I can't believe I was lucky enough to have him in my life. The fact that I know he would do anything for me just makes me feel worth something.

"Oh don't give me that look, you know I can't handle it." I said biting my lip.

"Yeah I know." He said as he leaned in to kiss me again, this time a little more passionate. My hands tangled in his soft brown hair as he rubbed my back soothingly. After a minute or so I pulled away.

"Now be a good boy and let me cook." I said.

"Fine, we will continue later." He said seductively. I hit him playfully on the shoulder and laughed.

After Louis and I finished eating, we decided to go on a walk. I slipped on my leggings and one of Louis' hoodies. It was mid may so it was starting to warm up outside but there was still that brisk breeze that gives you the chills and leaves your lips and the tip of your nose slightly red. Louis and I left his flat with our fingers intertwined as we headed outside.

"So, we've only got a couple more weeks of school babe. You know what that means?" Louis asked as he squeezed my hands slightly.

"Summer." I said smiling. I absolutely couldn't wait until summer. All I could picture was me and Louis at the beach. I could almost feel the warm sand between my toes, I could taste the sugary lemonade, and I could see Louis in his swim trunks. Yes this summer was going to be a good one.

We were making our way towards the park when we passed my house. My old house. The house that I had experienced things you could only imagine in nightmares. When we passed it, I couldn't help but stop walking and burrow my head into Louis' chest.

"Hey, it's okay." Louis said as he stroked my hair gently. He gave me a kiss on my forehead before testing his head on it.

"Trust me Hayden, you will never have to deal with him again. I'm here, it's okay."

"I can't believe he hasn't come looking for me." I whispered.

"Maybe he finally realized what an ass he is, and he has finally given up on trying to hurt you."

"Or maybe he is just waiting for the right time to come and take me." I barely choked out.

"Sshhh. Don't you dare talk like that. You know I will do anything to protect you." Louis sad comfortingly.

I stayed in Louis' side for a moment before I looked back at my house. I could only imagine what my dad was doing in there. Probably getting drunk and watching some sports program. I am so lucky to be living with Louis.
