"Bella, isn't it?" A male voice said
I turned around with knitted eyebrows to see who it was.
It was the guy who was staying in the hotel room next to me, my temporary neighbor.
"Oh hey- i don't-" I started
"Lorenzo." He said with a smile
I nodded smiling "Lorenzo." I said
I glanced at my phone thinking about where i needed to go
"What's the matter?" He asked
"Oh I just- I go to Lincoln center you know where that is?" I asked him looking at him "well, I happen to go there cause I'm meeting a friend in a cafe near by Lincoln center" he said
I smiled at him "but first, can i offer you a coffee for along the way?" He said pointing to the Starbucks next to us.
I smiled "of course."

"So you are not alone?" He asked
I shook my head while we were walking
"Me mate and i flew over here a couple days ago, she's a drum tech and the band is touring around the USA" I said taking a sip of my coffee
"It must be amazing, traveling around the USA with your best friend, and a band" he said with a wink
"Well, it's not the that" I said with a chuckle "I'm not going with them." I said shortly after.
He looked at me confused "so they offer you a deal of a life time and you refuse?" He asked i nodded "why?" He asked "well you see, my brother is back in England and is kinda having a though time and i wanna help him, and I have work back there and all that." I said he nodded "I get that, yeah" he said with a smile
There was a short silence before i spoke up "how long is it walking from here then?" I asked finishing my coffee
"Not so long, 10 minutes I suppose love." He said with a smile
"So, why are you here?" I asked him
"Art, dreams and what not." He respond i looked at him with a raised eyebrow "an artist?" I asked surprised
"Why so surprised?" He asked playfully "well, I'm one too" I said looking at him
"Oh?" He asked smiling "what are you interests?" He asked "everything, from literature to paintings." I said with a smile "interesting." He said
"My father didn't thought the same about that though" he said with a pause
"Why?" I asked "he wanted me to stay in New Orleans and stay in the family business." He said "aaah" I said with a nod understanding "my mom loved it though, every bit, sadly i can't share it with her anymore" He whispered
"They divorced?" I asked
"No she uh- she died two years ago" he said looking at the ground
"Oh I-I'm sorry" I said looking at him
"It's alright" he nodded
After a few minutes he stood still
"We're here." He said pointing at the building in front of us.
"Thank you for walking me, Lorenzo" I said smiling he nodded "pleasure." He whispered smiling he started walking but stopped "oh and Bella?" He asked turning around "you should think about that offer one more time, life's too short isn't it?" He said with a smile
I nodded with a grin before he walked away "Bella?" Van asked "didn't expect you to be here." He said looking at me
"Yeah me either." I said with a smile

- one hour later.
"So that's that." The man said who sold the busses "thank you very much." Dan said i felt van looking at me so i turned my face to look at him
He looked into my eyes and smiled with his mouth closed
I looked back at dan, the man walked away "what are we doing now then?" Bob asked "we're buying it." Dan said smiling "no way!" Benji said
Dan nodded "now, who's up for a drink?" He said clapping his hands together "me!" Cara said
We all walked to the cafe where I think Lorenzo was heading earlier.
We walked in and sat down "how late is it?" I said looking around "30 minutes after 9" van said i nodded spotting Lorenzo, I smiled.
"Who's that lad?" Cara asked sitting next to me Lorenzo turned his head to face me "our temporarily neighbor."
She nodded "aaah" she said
He smiled at me "I'm ordering the drinks, what does everyone want?" Bob said

"So yeah that happened" dan laughed
"I can't imagine-" I started laughing but felt a hand on my shoulder
"Excuse me" a male voice said
I looked who it was, Lorenzo.
"Oh hello" I said "you want to join me to see the sunset? I know this great place we can go, would you like to come?" He asked
Everyone was having their own conversation, except from van.
He was looking at me and Lorenzo.
"Uh well-" I started talking looking at cara then at him "I would love to." I smiled standing up
"I'll see you back at the hotel yeah?" I said to Cara "of course" she winked
We walked out of the cafe "so, that's ya' best mate?" He asked looking at me while we were walking "that's her." I said with a nod
"Those were your mates?" I asked him
He nodded "they are." He smiled
We walked and talked until we sat down somewhere.
"This place is fucking nuts." I whispered looking around
We had a few over the whole city.
"Isn't it?" He said looking at me
"How did you find it?" I asked he looked at me "this place." I said shortly after "my friend showed me" he said looking in front of him
There was a short silence before he spoke up
"Thank you for coming here with me"
I looked at him and shot him a smile
"Thank you for brining me here" I whispered with a nod "so that guy-" he trailed off I looked at him "the one who was staring at you when we were talking? Is he? Is he your boyfriend or anything cause-" he started but i cut him off "No, no he's not my boyfriend" I chuckled he nodded "you like him don't you?" He said smiling at me i looked at him
"It's complicated." I whispered with a sigh
He nodded "well miss complicated ones the sun has set" he started with a smile
I chuckled "would you be up for a drink?" He asked smiling
I nodded with a smile "yeah, I am"
