Greg's POV

I finally caught up with Aria. And awkwardly, Liz was at my side. I could see in her face that she found it extremely awkward as much as I did. We stood behind Aria as she grabbed a muffin.

"Fine. Grab one. But you're gonna pay me back." She said, not even turning to look at us.

I glanced at the variety of muffins before me. Man there was a lot..

But I knew what I wanted.

I reached for the last triple chocolate muffin and,

"Oh- uh-.."

She quickly yanked her hand back, just the same time I did. We had thought the same thing. And reached for the same muffin.

I looked at her.

What do I say? What do I do? Do I let her have it? Do I apologize?

My thoughts were cut off as I was slapped back into reality by her smile.

She laughed. "What? Do I have something on my face?"

"Oh- uh-.." I didn't know what to say. I couldn't stop looking at her.

Man oh man is it hot in here or is it just Liz?

I immediately reached for the muffin.

"Here you can have i-"

I didn't feel the muffin. I felt the bottom of the bin.

I looked at where that magical pastry should be. And instead I saw a petite little girl, holding my prized possession.

"Um.. Scuse m-.. That- that was mi-.."

"You snooze you loose buddy." She said, with quite some attitude.

Ouch.

"Hey.. That's not very ni-"

"Listen you little slut. That was obviously Greg's, Abigail. Now hand it over before I cut your little whore hands off."

POW. YOU WANT SOME ICE WITH THAT BURN.

My eyes widened as Liz stepped up for me. She didn't even wait for the little girl to hand it over. She aggressively snatched it right out of her hands.

She didn't even look at me as she turned to the cash register, bought it without a word, and handed it to me.

"Don't thank me. I already hate her." She said, not looking me in the eye, and walking away. I watched her as she headed back to the table, grabbed her stuff, and headed out of the cafeteria.

I looked over at Ivan and Mason back at the table.

They winked and made faces. I rolled my eyes at them, but they were right.

I had to make my move.

I took a deep breath, and followed Liz outside, leaving behind my food.

I looked around for her as the doors closed behind me.

Ah. There she is.

She had her back to me as she sat on a log, facing the fireplace. She was throwing rocks into the open flame. Obviously bored.

I walked closer to her.

I guess she didn't know I was there, because I heard her talking to herself. About me.

"Stupid stupid STUPID. Why did I do that?! UGH. He's gonna think Im just a big hateful jerk.. An UGLY hateful jerk.." She said, throwing another rock. She started mumbling to herself, so I couldn't hear anymore. But I didn't have to.
