MASON'S POV

Goooooood mornin everybody.

It's currently 6 am, bright and sunny out, around 88℉.

Believe it or not, I'm an early riser. Weird right? I don't even know okay, I just wake up at 6 am in the morning everyday and I don't have a problem with that.

Anyway, I'm not the only early bird here. Everybody in this cabin is wide awake.

Nope.

It definitely was not their choice.

The camp wake up call was early today because I think we were doing some kind of activity. Me, Ivan, Greg, and Logan start heading down to the main commons area where we found the majority of the people in the camp, and the camp advisors.

I looked around, and immediately spotted the girls.

I raised my hand and waved at them so they know where we were. "Over here!"

Calling them over was a GOOD idea. I know Greg will be so emba-... Wait, wha..?

Why is he not nervous, and red, and stuttering like he should be? He's smiling and actually having a conversation with Liz. Wow. Someone's got it goin.

Meagan wasn't with them so I tapped Eleanor's shoulder to ask her.

"Where's Meg?"

"Oh, her? she had to go back to her town... Family problems."

I nodded in response, and started looking around again.  A girl wearing a red shirt that said "TKDance" caught my eye. Brownish blonde hair, fair, a little tan, skin... Yep, it's totally Aria.

I was gonna say Hi to her, but one of the camp advisors took the Mic and started the assembly.

"ALRIGHT! GOOD MOOOORNING CAMPERS." everyone yelled, and cheered, some clapped, some just stood there.

"Today, I will be telling you about our annual 2-day survival challenge." He continued. There was more cheering in the crowd. "As you all know, you will be broken down into groups, or tribes, I should say.. and you will be given 2-days to complete these survival challenges. Are you guys ready?"

"HEEEEECK YEAAAAAAAH." I look over at Logan who as twerking on the bench. Alright. I guess he's ready.

I slowly walked towards Aria to do my unfinished business, which in this case is.. say hi, but somebody grabs my hand, and turns me around, literally guiding me to a hug.

Audrey.

"Omg. We should so be in a team."  Seriously? She's being too clingy. AGAIN.

"Uhm.. I'm already in a team of what.. uh. Seven right? Yeah, sorry babe, next time?" I said with the sweetest smile just to make her.. leave me alone.

I love her and all, but...

I'm just not feeling it. Right now, at least.

"Awww. It's okay, lets just hang out and catch up on Friday? Yeah? Okay. Byeee. Love you.." and off she goes, leaving me with a kiss on the cheek. I waved goodbye to her, as she headed down to her friends.

Ahh.. Audrey.. what am I going to do with you?

I got with my group, and started putting on our life vests. I got my beach shorts on, and so does the rest of the guys. Surprisingly, none of the girls were in their bikinis. Instead, they wore t-shirts and shorts, which I would choose over bikinis anytime.

Why are we getting ready for the water, you may ask? Well, the first challenge was to cross the lake to the little island in the middle using a canoe.

The girls are grabbing the paddles, and we were pushing the canoe to the water.

"Hurry up guys! He's gonna blow the whistle soon!!!!" Ivan yelled.

"We're coming, sir." Eleanor teased.

They hoped on the canoe first, and then us guys went last. We had an uneven number, so Logan had to sit out in the back of the canoe.

Soon, the whistle blew, and the race has begun.

We started paddeling, until we got to about half way. We were way ahead of the others, so we decided to chill out there, and take a break... When suddenly, I hear someone mumble something.

"Crap." I looked behind me and found Greg reaching for his wristband that apparently fell in the water.. he stretched his hands out ... And leaned forward to get it..

Greg.. no...

"Stop moving the canoe, guys." I hear Aria yell from the front.

"Why? Are you scared we're gonna tip over?" Ivan teases. The canoe starts rocking side by side.. I looked back to check if he's got it.. but instead.. I see the opposite.

"GREG. NOOOOO." I yelled, as he reached more forward causing the canoe to really tip over.

"BECAUSE I CAN'T SWIIIIIMMMMMM." Aria yells.

Right when everybody was in the water, laughing, I searched for Aria, and found her struggling to stay on the top of the water.

I didn't know what to do.. so I grabbed her, and wrapped her hands around my shoulders..

"There's no way we can tip the canoe over again. We're gonna have to swim the rest of the way there."  Logan announced.

Everybody started swimming, except me.. and Aria who I was carrying.

"Hey.. you okay?"

She opened her eyes, and smiled at me..

"Yeah, thanks.."
