Liz's POV

After Greg and I screwed up and didn't catch dinner, we had to stick with berries and boiled potatoes for dinner.

Mason was building the fire, while Aria stood nearby. Ivan and Ele were peeling potatoes near the fire pit. Greg was getting more berries, leaving me to sit. Waiting all alone.

When he got back, it was obvious he couldn't help but eat some.

"Deary, you got a little somethin somethin on your face." I said, laughing.

"Wh-Wha.. Well its definitely not berry juice..." He said, looking away. Idiot.... cute idiot.... My cute idiot.

"Just. Keep still." I told him, holding his face, wiping off the smudge with the other hand.

He stared in my eyes as I cleaned off his face. I noticed him smile.. what? Was there something on my face too?

"What?" I asked, still holding his face.

"Its nothing." He said, laughing. I squinted my eyes in suspicion. What the heck is going on in that curly little mind of his?

"I don't believe you." I said, not stepping away, but putting down my arms, and crossing them.

A devilish smile grew on Greg's face.

He stared at me for a bit, then stepped closer and hugged me tight. The way he knows drives me crazy.

He kissed the top of my head, and lightly laughed.

"What about now?" He said, giving me a quick squeeze.

"N-"

"EY. LOVEBIRDS. WHERE'S THE BERRIES?" Aria yelled from the fireplace.

"Pause." I mumbled, shoving him away playfully.

"Noooooo." Greg said, pouting as I turned around from grabbing the basket of berries.

I smiled and headed back to the fireplace, where Eleanor and Ivan had already beat us. Eleanor was putting the small pot of potatoes over the fire. Aria and Mason were sitting aside, just laughing a talking to each other.

"This is a stupid dinner." Greg mumbled under his breath as he took a seat next to me.

I nudged him. He shouldn't of said that.

"Well it wouldn't be your fault if you two would have just-"

"Shut up Ivan." Greg said, pulling out a blanket.

Without asking, he draped half of the blanket around my right shoulder. I looked at him. And he just chummly smiled, and scooted closer.

"I wasn't exactly cold." I said, laughing.

He just looked at me and laughed. He squinted his eyes and smiled, and blew on my face.

"Now you are." He joked.

"Ooh, so cold. I've got chills." I told him, sarcastically.

"Are they multiplyin'?" Greg said, bursting out laughing. Goofball.

"So... tomorrow... Ready to head back?" Eleanor said when everyone turned silent.

"I don't know.. I like being with you guys." Mason said, glancing at Aria.

I think everyone knows he meant he likes being with Aria.

"Well we're still gonna hang out when we get back, dummy." Ivan said.

"Yeah but people, ehem whores and assholes ehem, will get in the way."  I chimed in.

What I meant by whores, I was referring to mother effing Abigail. I also had Audrey in mind. She's Mason's "girlfriend". Believe me, I've noticed they've been having problems.

How would I know? Well, before the assembly 2 days ago, I heard Audrey on the phone in the bathroom.

She was talking to some Jerry guy. And things got a little friendly.

"Oh, you sweetheart." She'd say giggling. "You cutie." She'd squeal. "I love you to pieces, Jerry." She said, making it way too obvious that something wasn't right.

I didn't say anything. I kept it to myself, it being not my business and all.

"Liz?.. ELIZABETH." Ele shouted.

"Hm? Sorry, what was that?"

"We were talking about what we're gonna do for the last little bit of summer after the camp is done.. weren't you listening?" She said

"Oh.. Sorry. I um... I don't know."

"Hey, we can hang out right?" Greg said, nudging me.

I turned to look at him and smiled.

"OOOOOHHH, Y'ALL LOVE BIRDS GONNA GO ON A DAAATE?" Aria yelled, teasing.

"WHA-"

"Actually yes. Is there a problem with that?" Greg said, out of no where.

Everyone started teasing, laughing. I almost said something, when I realized something.

"Wait. Greg, does that mean…… we're dating now?" I couldn't help but ask. I needed to know.

He looked into my eyes for a while, and smiled very big and adorable.

"I'd be fine with that." He said quietly, leaning in quite close. He laughed, and kissed my cheek.

Oh. We're dating now...

I guess Elizabeth Schryer has a nice ring to it.
