The microwave was plugged in, the popcorn popped, and the movie rolling.

The room was entirely dark besides the glow of the tv casting shawdows from Riley's eyelashes against his cheeks.

I sat beside him, Connor on my other side. He had been mad at me for something because he had a scowl on his face, his arms were crossed and he wouldn't look at me.

Toby sat in an arm chair beside the couch, grabbing a handful of the popcorn from the bag that rested on his lap.

Under the blanket covering me, Riley took my hand, squeezing it tightly. I glanced at him, his face was turned toward the movie but his smile was big and generous.

After about an hour of the movie I got up, excusing myself to the bathroom and I slowly left the living room. I was honestly terrified of the dark.

Once inside the bathroom I sucked in a breath of air, the only light was a cup sized candle. I checked my reflection in the mirror, the light casting an orange, eerie glow against my face and I fixed my hair.

I frooze when I heard something fall in the shower behind me. I held onto the counter top, my eyes on the mirror. The curtain slowly began to open and I couldn't find my voice to scream, or my legs to run.

When I finally did attempt to scream a hand covered my mouth, the other hitting me in the head. The darkness consumed the light of the candle and I went limp in their arms.

The sound of water dripping against the floor woke me up, my head pounding and spinning, my eyes were heavy, my wrists sore and bounded together; my legs also.

I was in a standing position, which was awfully uncomfortable. I felt my body swing a little as I looked around, the room empty besides boarded up windows and a door, locked with several locks.

The walls were painted a sad, pale grey, matching the floors that were faded and the color of ash. I tried getting my hands free, tugging them violently; struggling and feeling the rope cut my skin, blood running down my thin arms.

I looked up, my body shaking and my eyes wide and scared when a warm hand touched my bloody arms.

"Riley." I whispered my heart dropping in my chest so deep I swear it could have smashed into millions bits and pieces.

"Stop. Please. You're hurting yourself." He mumbled, grabbing a slightly wet rag from his pocket, cleaning up the mess I made of my wrists.

"DON'T TOUCH ME!" I yelled so loud he actually looked shocked and backed away a little.

Riley stayed silent, his hands in his pockets, and he bit his lip. "I know this looks bad but just trust me. Please."

"GO AWAY!" I cried, tears falling down my cheek.

Riley actually looked hurt but the look vanished quickly. "Fine. I was going to help you but I'll just let him do what he had planned."

I watched as he left the room, his shoulders high and full of anger. I whimpered softly, the tears still falling down my cheek and I sucked in a breath of air, trying to stop.

What was going on? Why did Riley bring me here? Who was he going to protect me from? Why did I ever trust him?

"Kody, wow, you have grown up to be such a pretty little thing now haven't you." His voice spoke, chilling my skin to the bone.

"Bo-Bob-Bobby?" I choked out, my eyes finally meeting his.

"I missed you sis!" He stood right in front of me, a smirk pasted against his face.
