I attempted to wiggle out of Riley's grasp, but he held on tightly, burying his face in my neck as he mumbled, "Stay." in his sleep.

My heart fluttered and I stayed still, rubbing my eyes away of sleep.

My eyes lingered over his face, observing the curve of his mouth that twitched into a crooked smile and how his eyelashses were unfairly long and thick.

I fought the urge to touch him and I just laid my head back against the pillow hoping and praying no one would walk in on this.

"Kody?" Riley called, tightly squeezing his eyes and tossing among me restlessly.

It took me a moment to take in the fact he was still asleep. I gazed down at him, placing my hand on his cheek. "You're sleeping Riley, calm down."

He seemed to relax but he turned again, contorting his face in dismay. "Connor! Leave her alone. Kody come here!" He nearly shouted, causing my ears to ring.

Confusion and concern washed over my face and I began to shake Riley, getting the breath knocked out of me as he flew up instantly, breathing heavily as I flew off of the couch.

He sighed in relief and jumped to his feet, pulling me off of the ground.

"Sorry, I was sleeping." He mumbled, watching me stare into his eyes. He didn't budge, just stared back.

I parted my lips and scoffed. "More like having a nightmare. What was that about?" I asked, rubbing my side because it stung with the impact of smashing into the coffee table.

"I'm sorry," He apologized, lightly laying his hand on my newly formed bruise. "and it was nothing, I just had a weird dream." he chuckled, staring at my face.

I sighed and looked at him more clearly. Something was off. I could tell by the urgency in his eyes and the quickness to his tone. He caught me glaring at his face and his lips pulled into a devilish smirk.

Cupping my cheek he placed a kiss upon my forehead.

"I'm going to shower. I'll make breakfast for you today, so just wait in here." His eyes glistened meaningfully as he dropped his hands from my cheek and side and went into the bathroom. I heard the water start and I slowly made my way up the steps and down the hallway to Connor's bedroom.

Slowly pushing the door open he was still asleep, his one leg hanging off the bed as his bare chest rose and fell.

I felt guilt and quietly shut the door, spinning around to crash into Toby's chest.

"Hey Kody, what are you doing?" He asked, smiling down at me.

I gasped in shock and laughed, catching my breath. "I was just checking to see if you and Connor were awake. I was going to let Connor sleep while I-Riley made breakfast.

Toby looked surprised and furrowed his eyebrows together. "Riley cook? The only thing he cooks is a microwavable pizza."

I shrug my shoulders and turn to walk past him. "I don't know. He said he wanted to cook." I say, watching Toby's face contort in even more disbelief and he shook his head, mumbling, "Whatever." as he followed me down the stairs.

The bathroom door was open and I could smell syrup and hear the sizzling of bacon being fried.

Toby rushed past me and I heard a yawn from behind and took in a smiling Connor behind me. "Hello beautiful." He smiled, hugging me from behind. I smiled and gazed up at him. "I didn't know you were behind me."

"I was being sly." He grinned, wrapping an arm around my waist as I walked into the kitchen with him. He looked just as shocked as Toby was when he saw Riley cooking a feast.

I shrugged my shoulders as he looked at me questioningly and he gave me a humorous smirk.

Riley's head tilted towards Connor and I as he gazed at Connor's secure arm around me. He smiled into my eyes mischievously, biting his bottom lip. I went to sit at the table and not long after both Connor and Riley were on either side of me and Toby was across from me.

"Thanks for cooking today." I mumbled to Riley. He smiled and lightly placed his hand on my smooth thigh where no one else could see it and he began running the tips of his fingers up and down softly.

"It was no problem."

On the other side of me, Connor took my hand in his, squeezing mine gently.

This wasn't good.

I had no idea what to do.

Both Connor, my best-est friend and Riley, the boy whom I believed despised my mere existence since he laid his eyes on me, both had some form of feelings for me.

And I liked it.

I liked them both.

And I didn't want to hurt either of them.

But I didn't know who I wanted at this point.

Connor beamed lovingly at me and I held his hand tightly.

Although it felt as if it was all lust with Riley something within my bones told me he was the right choice.
