I awoke to my heart pounding and pumping feverishly against my chest, a cold sweat against my forehead; chills running down my spine.
If it hadn't been for a warm, firm, beating chest against my own I would have probably screamed.
I had forgotten I had fallen asleep in Riley's room.
I was still in his arms, between his legs, which mine were tangled in his own.
I could hear my breaths escaping my trembling lips and I sat up, supporting my weight, gasping when Riley's eyes flickered open slowly, blinking once or twice and then meeting mine.
"You're up early," he mumbled groggily, turning his head to check his phone. The time read '2:37 AM'. He locked his black iPhone 5 and turned his attention back to me.
"I'm sor-"
"It's fine. You don't have to apologize." He whispered innocently, slowly brushing a strand of my curled hair behind my ear. He left his index finger against my cheek, his long lashes flickering as he kept his gaze on me.
I had been supporting my weight still and in spite of myself I leaned my face into his touch, my cheeks heating up with a blush.
"I'm tired." I admitted in a subtle tone.
"Then sleep."
I sighed softly and climbed out of his arms, turning on my side, the coolness of the unoccupied side of the queen sized bed was refreshing.
"Hey," he whispered, his hand laying on my hip, my shirt raised so his warm, soft fingers ran along the skin. "Cuddle with me." he said in such a childish tone, full of hope and adventure.
I turned slowly, my chest pressing against his bare, smooth skinned one. He pulled me into his arms and I felt myself ache in his touch.
I just wanted him to touch me and take every part of me. Being in his arms drove me insane.
On the outside I appeared calm. My head rested in the crook of his neck, his chin against the top of my head. I could smell his familiar scent. His musky body wash, Hollister cologneand his natural body scent.
He pecked my hair and I fluttered my lashes, causing them to brush against his neck. He laughed softly and squeezed me against him tighter.
"I like this.. I like being with you."
I was shocked to hear him say that. I nodded my head and looked up, our eyes meeting again. I could feel the warmth of his breath wash against my cheeks, making me close my eyes as he gave me a gentle peck before pulling back.
I automatically felt myself running my fingertips over the smooth skin of Riley's back until he slowly fell back asleep.
I kept my eyes on him. Admired his facial structures and features as he remained peacefully silent and in a completely different dimension in his sleep. I kissed his forehead lightly and shut my eyes, falling back into my deep sleep, not to be awakened again.

Today had been a very rainy day in Orlando Florida. The temperatures lowered greatly; wind high, warning of floods everywhere. Everyone was advised to stay inside.
The McDonough's white, two story townhouse was powerless; candles lighting every room, with the occasional flash light.
Cell phones died because there was no way to charge them.
I sighed and laid on the couch in complete boredom. My hair had been pulled into a French Braid, two strands on either side hanging lose, giving it a more feminine look. I wore yoga pants(black of course)and a white tank top. Riley was next to me. He hadn't left my side since we woke up this morning. He had been wearing grey sweat pants and a white tee shirt. Connor had showered before the power went out and he was wearing black skinny jeans and a navy blue tee shirt. Toby decided on black basketball shorts and a black tee shirt. We all were in the living room, besides Connor who was searching for the generator in the basement.
I was playing with a strand of my hair when Toby mumbled softly, "Are you guys dating?" I was so shocked I back flipped off the couch. I stood up then and dusted myself off. Riley had been on his feet, eager to help me. I shook him off and sat back down.
"Why would you think that?" I asked, my voice a little shaky and surprised.
He shrugged and looked away from me. "You both just have been really secretive and different lately."
Before I could reply Connor hollered for someone to get the door to the basement for him.
I jumped to my feet, going off to help him.
He thanked me and carried the generator to the living room, setting it down to catch his breath. I offered to plug it in so he could relax.
I knew what to do and got the generator working within five minutes.
We all practically cheered. Being a teenager in the 21st century was very hard. Do you feel my sarcasm?
We decided we'd plug in the TV so we could entertain ourselves with movies and plug in a microwave and make popcorn.
Riley offered to get the microwave. I went with for the popcorn.
I was surprised but should have seen it coming when I was pulled into a dark corner in the kitchen, a soft, familiar hand covering my lips, a gentle soothing chuckle in my ear. I moved his hand, not being able to help but not be mad and I scoffed, my heart racing. "Asshole." I mumbled just because I had to. Riley smiled precisely and pressed his lips to mine, leaving a long and tender kiss. I felt the anger drain out of me and I moved my lips across his. I could feel him smile against my mouth and then he pulled back. "I really do want to keep kissing you more than anything but I have a microwave to get and you have popcorn to get." He pecked my lips one last time before jogging off to the other side of the kitchen for the microwave. I sighed, ignoring the tingling of my lips and went to the cabinet to get the box of popcorn. I had no idea at all that Connor had just seen the whole entire thing.
