I can't go. I just can't. It would be cheating. I mean if Tom found out I went to get coffee with a man that wasn't him he would be furious. With a matter of fact he might break up with me. I decide not to go. I should've never said yes.

The rest of my day consisted of playing cards with my Dad. It brought back old memories. Every Saturday night when me and my bother were younger we use to play cards with my Dad. Like go fish. This game caused some many fights between me and my bother. Thinking about it makes me laugh.    Of course my Dad won. At the end of the game my phone rang and my it was Tom calling. I sigh of relief went through my body.

I answer the phone. Me and Tom talked and then we said are goodbyes and goodnights. I headed to bed early.

And like any other morning I got up ate breakfast with my parents then headed out for a run.

Went my usual route. I was nervous that I would bump into Robert. How would I explain to him why I didn't show up? As I jogged through the park. I heard someone breathing heavily behind me. They were jogging. They eventually caught up to me. Standing next to me was Robert. keeping the same pace as me he jogged next to me.

"So..isn't it a nice day out?" Robert says.

I stop jogging and give up hope on trying to avoid the situation. He stops.

"Listen im sorry."

"For what? standing me up?" He says with a slight attitude.

The guilt sinks in. I can just imagine him sitting all alone at Starbucks waiting for me. I felt so bad. I should've gone.

"I have a boyfriend Robert."

He begins to laugh.

"What's so funny?" I ask sounding annoyed.

"I wasn't asking you on a date. What to people can't have coffee together without it being a date?"

He had a point. A really good point.

So good that he was right.

"So lets try this again." He says.

"Would you like to get coffee with me?....Just as friends." A smirk appeared on his face.

I smile big and bright.

"Yes."

"Same place same time." He says ending the conversation.

I nod

"See you there." He says walking away.

What a charming bastard he was.
