I lay on the beach letting the sun tan my skin. With my purple bikini and my sunglasses I am calm and this feels nice. I can hear the people around me. Swimming, talking, building sand castles.

A familiar voice fills the air.

"Well isn't convenient seeing you hear wouldn't you say."

I sit up and slide my sunglasses off. I look up to find Robert standing there shirtless with yet swim trunks on. His hair glistens in the sunlight. Its wet, he is wet. Dripping wet and I can't help but stare.

"Uh yeah." I say. He sits down next to me.

"So you must live close by here then?" He says.

"Well im staying at my parents who live right there." I turn my back and point to my house. He tilts his head back and glances at my house.

"Your lucky!" He sounds jealous.

"Yeah. My parents lived there ever since I was ten. So me and my bother use to come here all the time."

"Nice, you have a bother?"

I clear my throat. Don't let your emotions get to you.

"Uh, yeah but he died when I was 15." I keep my voice steady.

Robert shoots me a look. And the puppy dog eyes come in. He looked so sad but so adorable at the same time.

"Oh im sorry to hear that." He says with so much sympathy.

"Yeah."

It was quite awkward for a moment. An awkward silence.

"How old was he?" Robert asked breaking the silence. I hate talking about my bother and his death. It made me uncomfortable. But there was something about Robert that made everything feel at ease.

"He was my age. We are actually twins." I say.

Roberts face changes and it lightens the mood.

"Oh so he was a good looking fella then." Robert says ever so charming. Me and my dumb self really had to take a minute to realize that he just complimented me. I blush like crazy. I smile at him and he smiles back.

"So hows the water?" I ask. As Robert answers me I zone out and look behind me towards my house.

My eye darts towards the kitchen window. I see my mom looking through the window and staring at me and Robert. She walks away. What was she doing looking at me.

Robert gets my attention.

"Alex?"

I look away from the house and look back at Robert.

"Yeah what?"

"Do you want to go see a movie?"

I don't answer I just stare.

"Of course just as friends." Robert says smiling.

I smile back and reply.

"Sure! What movie?"

"How about Captain America." He says.

I smile.

"Okay i'll meet you at that movies at eight. Hows that sound?"

"Great!" He responds. He stands up.

"I have to go. It was nice seeing you here." He says smiling.

"Yeah you too."

"Bye!" He walks away.

I gather my things and head back to the house. My thoughts are Robert and only Robert.

"Mom, were you spying on me?" I ask well entering the house.

"Answer my question first. Who is that man?" She says with her hand on her hip.

"His name is Robert and he is just a friend."

My mom gives me devilish look.

"Mhmm, just remember you already got a man at home." She says cutting carrots.

That reminds me I should probably call Tom. I give Tom a call. The whole time I just kept my mind on Robert. I couldn't stop thinking about him.
