chapter 32

I snap back into reality and stare at the gunman. I just stare. "You really think she's going to take a bullet for me?! Shit, who would take a bullet for anyone in the first place?!" I raise my voice at the guy, throwing my hands in the air. When the hell are the police going to arrive?! I think to myself. "GET ON THE GROUND NOW" the gunman screams. Renae's the first to get down and quickly get down as well taking her hand. "LET GO OF HER HAND MALIK! SHE WONT KEEP A PROMISE JUST LIKE HER MOM" he yells. "Promise?" I hear Renae say in a confused tone. "Zayn, what's going on?!" she says with tears forming in her eyes. "I have no idea I'm sor-" I began to say but get cut off by the guy. "SHUT UP BOTH OF YOU" he yells still pointing the gun at us. "What are you going to do?! Shoot us?" Renae says sarcastically. "Oh so you think this is a joke?!" The gunman says with his voice still raised. "I have to pick up my brother and sister from school" she says and I can here her gulp. "I'm sorry pretty but I'm afr-" he begins to say. "Just. Let. Her. Go." I say with an annoyed tone. "Let her go and you can keep me!" I say as I turn around and get up quickly as I push him against my car. "RENAE GO! JUST GO!" I scream as I keep him against my car controlling the hand with the gun.

•Renae's POV•

I didn't know what to do. I needed to go pick up my brother and sister but I was no way going to leave Zayn here. Why the hell weren't the police here yet?! I quickly grab my phone from my back pocket and dial 911.

"911, what's your emergency" the lady answers over the phone. "There's a man with a gun you need to get here fast!" I say with a fast panicked tone. "We'll be on our way ma'am" she says and the call ends. I check the time and realize 2:45. Shit I'm 15 minutes late. I walk over to my car and get in as I put the keys in the ignition. I couldn't leave Zayn. I look over at them and see that Zayn's grip loosens and the boy picks up the gun aiming it towards me. I pull out of the parking lot and and press on the gas as I speed down the street making my way towards the elementary school.

As I pull into the schools parking lot I see my brother and sister waiting for me by the gate. I get out quickly and walk towards them. "I'm so sorry you guys! I just got busy and I forgot!" I say and lead them to my car. I open the passenger door and slide the passenger seat as my brother gets in the back. I slide back the seat and my sister sits in the passenger seat. I close the door and make my way around the car. I open the door and get in and turn on the car. I pull out of the drive way and drive to my house as fast as I could.

I pull into the driveway and stop the car. "Would you guys mind if I drop you off? I need to go get some things at the store" I say looking at them. "It's fine" Sophia says and opens the door as she gets out and Mason jumps through the front to get out. "I'll be back in a bit!" I say and back out of the driveway. I speed down he streets, making my way to Riverside Lake Park.

When I get there, there are about 5 officers. I don't even park completely, I just stop the car and get out making my way towards Zayn. "ZAYN!" I say and run towards him. "Are you okay?!" I say and hug him tightly. "I'm fine, I'm fine" he says and hugs me back. "Did they get the guy?!" I ask keeping my arms around Zayn's waist. "No. A little after you left a police drove in and he took off and damn is he fast they couldn't catch up to him and since he had a mask on they couldn't identify him" Zayn says. "Did the police ask you what happened already?" I ask looking up to him. "Yeah...I left you out. I don't want you getting in trouble" he says as he stares at the policemen. "Did they believe you?" I ask with a confused look on my face. "Yeah. I just told them I had no idea what was going on he just came and pointed a gun at me" Zayn says. "Are they going to do anything about it?" I ask cocking an eyebrow. "That's what they're figuring out right now" he says and puts him arm around me.

"Come on" he says and starts walking to a empty space on the gravel. "What?" I say with a confused tone. "Just come on!" he says and grabs my hand as he leads me over to the empty space of the parking lot. He sits down and pats the spot next to him. I take a seat as I roll my eyes and smile. "Why are you so beautiful?" he asks and lays back. I do the same and look up at the sky. He turns his head towards me as I turn mine. "I don't know" I laugh. "No really...its impossible to get over you" he says and smiles widely. "Oh gosh" I say and roll my eyes and grin. "Mr.Malik" I hear approaching us. We both get up and see an officer walking towards us. "Yeah?" Zayn asks as he gets up. "We talked and sadly we can't do anything about this..since we weren't able to identify the guy or get him we can't really do anything about" he says and looks down. "Oh okay.." Zayn says and nods his head. "I'm sorry. Just call us next time" he says and walks away. All 3 police cars drive out of the parking lot and drive away down the streets. "Do you know who it was?" I ask. I'm sure he knows. How could he not know. "Actually I don't" he says as we both walk towards our cars. "What do you mean you don't?!" I ask furrowing my eyebrows. "I don't! I only know Louis! They don't tell me who everyone is!" he says. "That's crap. You have to know" I say rolling my eyes as I unlock the door to my car. "It's not crap because it's true Renae!" he says and walks towards me. "Stop it Zayn" I say and try to push him away. He grabs my wrist and turn me around as he pushes me against my car. "You need to trust me Renae. That's all I can ask for" he says and leans in as he crashes his lips on mine. I wanted to pull away but it felt so right. I couldn't lose my feelings for Zayn. What the hell is wrong with me!?

I kiss back and put my hands around him neck pulling him closer to me, our bodies not loosing contact. His lips move down to my neck as he starts to suck underneath my ear. I left out a small moan and run my fingers through his hair. His hands move down my back as he keeps them on my ass. I wrap my legs around his waist and kiss him passionately on the lips. He carries me into my car as he lays down on the driver seat and reclines it. I close the door and lean in to kiss him again and suck on the side of his neck. His hands hold my ass and he lets out a light moan as I suck underneath his jaw.

I start to pull off his shirt as he helps me and tosses it to the floor. I continue kissing him and leaving him love marks as I run my hands through his hair. His hands pull up my shirt and he takes it off grinning at me and goes in for a kiss and sucks on my neck roughly. My grip tightens on his hair as I kiss him back. My hands trail down his stomach and down to his torso. I kiss him roughly and trail down his neck and kiss him on the chest. I turn my head and lay it against his chest, listening to his heart beat, pretty rapid. I hear him chuckle as he kisses the top of my head and plays with it. I let out a sigh and shake my head. What was so special about this boy?!
