Taking a sip from your lemonade, you wriggled your legs under the olive green, patterned table cloth. Not necessarily because you wanted to see Seven really badly, but mainly because of the woven chair. Certain parts of it were marking your legs. The umbrella provided shade from the sun, but it was still a warm summers day. Butterflies fluttered around in your stomach as you waited for Seven. The main reason for his visit was to get your phone so he could fix it. However, you hoped it would be like old times. Chatting and laughing about stuff that didn't matter.
You had been daydreaming when you felt two strong hands on your shoulders. You tensed up, skin tingling with anticipation. A voice came from above you, "Did I keep you waiting?"
"Seven! Don't scare me like that!" You laughed, looking up to see his smiling face above you.
"Sorry but what was I to do?" He laughed. Letting go of your shoulders, he walked over to his seat across the table.
"But seriously, don't do that. Next time I think I'll have an actual heart attack." You said. By now, your heart was racing and you laughed to let out the built-up tension. When you looked up, Seven was leaned forward, chin in his hands, elbows on the table, watching you. You wiggled your legs again, feeling a sudden urge to escape his gaze. A playful smile crept across his lips. Tilting his head to the side, he kept staring. You blushed under his gaze. Wringing your hands under the table, you fumbled for something to say.
"Hey, [Y/N]."
You looked up, hurriedly composing yourself. "Y-yeah? What is it?"
"What are you having to eat?" He grinned
"Uh," Picking up a menu you buried your face in it. You already knew what you were going to have but you needed an excuse to hide. "I think I'll just have scrambled eggs." You put down the menu and looked across the table. Seven wasn't there. "Seven? Where did you go?" You asked, anxious.
"Scrambled eggs aren't on that page, you know." He stated jokingly from behind you.
You turned around. "Seven! You scared the living daylights of me!" You exclaimed, annoyed that he was messing with you like this. The butterflies turned into a hard knot. You turned away, puffing out your cheeks. You did that when you were mad. Seven looked around your shoulder and his playful grin fell away. "Aw c'mon [Y/N]. I was joking. Don't be mad." Turning your head away from him you put your phone and a 20 dollar note on the table. "There. You've gotten everything you wanted," You stood up, still not facing him so he couldn't see the angry tears welling up in your eyes, "I'm leaving."
"[Y/N]..." He said lamely. And with that, you stormed off.
