As soon as you had entered the room, you felt a pang of pain in your heart. Saeran lay motionless in his bed. A mask covered his mouth and nose. It fogged up slowly, before becoming clear. Thin, clear tubes were attached to his arms, chest and even his head. They connected him to machines, which lit up the room. His skin had a pale, deathlike pallor. You almost cried at the sight of him. He seemed like he would crumble to dust if you so much as breathed. Seven pushed you over to the bed so you could sit next to it. He pulled out a chair and sat next to you. "Saeran, this is [Y/N]." He said. You looked over at Seven and he smiled sadly. "If I talk to him, it seems more like he's awake and able to hear me. And the doctors say he can hear me but he can't respond."

"I see," You turned back to Saeran and slid your hand under his, "Hey Saeran. Your brother is worried about you. Please wake up soon. It will make him feel so much better. Let's try and get better together. Okay?" You smiled down at him as a solitary tear rolled down your cheek. Seven put a hand on your thigh. You looked up at him, and squeezed his hand softly. "He'll make it." You told Seven, more to reassure yourself than him.

"The doctors think so as well." Seven kissed the top of your head. You rested your head on his shoulder and looked back at Saeran. Seven let out a sigh but said nothing. You thought that you were both thinking the same thing, hoping that Saeran would be okay.

Suddenly, machines started bleeping urgently. Lights started flashing, causing you and Seven to jump to your feet. Nurses came running into the room, flanking Saeran's bed and ushering you both out of the room. You and Seven resisted, demanding to know what was going on and trying to fight your way back to Saeran's side. The nurses forced you out of the room as a doctor rushed into the room. The door closed behind him. Seven pressed his hands against the window, looking defeated and helpless. The nurse that forced you out of the room still stood outside with you. Your blood boiled, and you clenched your fists. "What's going on?" You demanded, "Why can't we see him?"

"You need to stay out of his room whilst we try to stabilise him," She said calmly, "The staff need room to work."  Your stomach twisted with anxiety. "Dammit." You muttered under your breath.

"Stay out of the room." The nurse repeated as she walked back into the room. Your legs felt wobbly as you walked over to the window. Resting your elbows on the window, you put your head in between your arms. You closed your eyes, wishing that all this had never happened, wishing that it was all a dream. Tears threatened to choke you, but you held them back. You lifted your head and peered into the room.
