You stirred the brown mixture in the saucepan. "A couple more minutes should do the trick." You muttered to yourself as you washed your hands. Your mobile rang from in the lounge room. Glancing at the saucepan, you ran to answer the phone. Picking it up, you hit the accept button without checking to see who was calling. "Hello, this is [Y/N]."
"[Y/N]! Hi!" Came a cheerful voice from the speaker.
"Hey Yoosung! What's up?"
"There's an event on soon in LOLOL and we have to be in pairs. I was wondering if you'd be my partner?"
"Partner?" You were skeptical, "What type of event is it?"
"Well... it's a Valentines Day event... so you have to be in boy-girl pairs. Then you play in special dungeons together and at the end of the event you share everything you've collected." He explained. "But it's the day before Valentines Day because some people actually have relationships."
"I never thought LOLOL would do a Valentines Day event. LOLOL does stand for League of Loneliness of Life after all." You pointed out. Yoosung laughed on the other end. "True, but some people, such as yourself, play the game because it's fun. Not because you are lonely."
"I guess..."
"Oh!" Yoosung sounded like a thought just occurred to him, "If you don't want to pair up with me because you like Seven, I get that."
"No, no, no. That's fine," You insisted, "I would be happy to be your partner but just as friends. And I'm warning you, I'm really out of practice."
"Hahaha. Yeah sure. I'll go sign us up!"
"Crap!" You exclaimed, jumping up off your couch and sprinting over to the kitchen.
"Wait, what?" Yoosung was confused, "What's wrong?"
"I burned it! Shoot!" You turned off the heat, frustrated.
"What? I'm lost."
"I was making chocolate for Seven and I freaking burnt it!"
"And then you need to put them in the freezer." He told you.
You walked slowly towards the freezer and put the moulds inside. You closed the door and turned to face Yoosung. You grinned, proud of how the chocolates turned out, even if you did need help from Yoosung. "Thanks for the help Yoosung. I really appreciate it!"
"Don't mention it! I kinda felt guilty that I distracted you and ruined your other batch," He scratched the back of his head awkwardly, "Seven's lucky."
"Huh?"
"I mean, you are really pretty and sweet. You work hard," He smiled at you sheepishly, "And you obviously really love him."
"Uhm..." You felt a bit shocked at how straightforward he was.
"I-I'm not trying to win you over or anything," Yoosung rushed to explain, "I just wanted to... well..."
"It's okay Yoosung. I was just a bit stunned was all," You smiled, "Should we go practice for the LOLOL event while we wait for the chocolates?"
"Yeah."
A couple days later, on Valentines Day, you held the phone to your ear, hoping like mad that Seven would pick up.
"Hello? Who is it?"
"Seven!" You replied, relived that he picked up, "It's me!"
"Oh, [Y/N]! What's up?"
"Well..." You fumbled for words. You hadn't thought this far yet, "I was... just seeing how far along you were with your work!"
"Oh yeah. I should be finished by lunch time today."
"That's great! In that case, do you want to have dinner with me at Thai Chada tonight?"
"Sounds good. What time should I be there by?"
"Quarter to eight? Does that work with you?"
"Yep. I miss you."
"I miss you too."
"I'll see you then."
"I love you." You told him. The phone bleeped, indicating that the call had ended. You glanced over at the brightly wrapped chocolates on the bench. "I hope they taste good." You muttered as you picked them up and got ready to meet up with Seven.
