It was silent when Jaclyn talking. She stood after she was done talking and walked off to a place just beyond the fire where we couldn't see her. We knew she was still close by because we could hear her shift occasionally in the dark. I felt the silence grow and heard a small sob, that was quickly stifled and knew it was Jaclyn. That girl had problems. She was always closed off and got spooked at every little thing but I guess she had a right to after what she went through in her life and is going through right now. I look down at my own wrist and see the simple tear shaped water drop and the thick circle around it. It was simple and very often the circle showed up in intricate tattoos men get sometimes and it was easy to make it look like a simple tattoo so I never worried much about my power being found out but Jaclyn did. She didn't have the advantage of growing up with her power, like us, she was just starting to learn how to control it and it could kill her. I look up to say something and see a flicker of light from where she is and here her gasp. I shake my head, deciding the others already realized the problem and lay down.
"We should get some sleep, its probably going to be a long day tomorrow." I grumble and the others nod. Jason finally looks up from where he was staring, seemingly grateful for the noise, and nods.

"I'll take first shift." He says quietly as everyone settled down for the night. I nod, letting him do first shift since he seemed like he'd need the time to think. He stares into the fire for a moment before taking up his weapon and standing to face the dark. He went off a little ways and I heard him grumbling as he settled into a place to keep watch over us in the dark. I shook my head and let my mind wander as I listened to the fire snap and crackle as I slowly fall asleep.
