Purposely Perfect

Chapter 2

Nicole's POV

A I stormed off from Dan, I felt good. Who is he to be slapping me around. Harry was right, I should have at least one loving man in my life. I really don't know what it's like to be loved by a guy. My dads been abusing me ever since mom died, since it's my fault she's gone. at least that's what he said. And Dan I think just used me for the title, and so only he could have me.

"Nicole! Hey! Wait up!"

I turned around and saw Harry jogging up to me.

"Hey." I said.

"That, that was priceless. I would pay good money to see that again."

"Ya? that was pretty funny wasn't it? did you see his face?"

By now we were both laughing in the middle of the hallway. I've never really gotten to know Harry. I've always heard he was a player, and a rude, rich, selfish, bastard. But with the things he told me and Dan, I could be wrong. Then I looked around and saw Elounor and her boyfriend Louis walking towards us. Harry and Louis are best friends, and Elounor and I are best friends.

"Hey guys! Whats up?" Elounor asked.

I don't know If I should tell her Dan and I broke up. Elounor never liked Dan. So, ya I will tell her.

"Dan and I broke up."

"Nicole I'm so sorry, how did he break it to you?"

"Actually I broke up with him."

There was complete surprise and confusion on Louis and Elounor's faces. Then Louis looked over at Harry and smiled, a big smile.

"Ya, he uh, smacked me again and Harry made me realize that I'm better off without him.

Louis continued giving Harry a funny smile, and Harry just glared at him. what's that all about?

"What did he say to you?" Louis asked still smiling at Harry. Harry held up his fist and was mumbling things to Louis. Harry then realized I was looking at him and smiled at me and put his hands behind his back.

"Well he just told me that I deserved better and stuff like that..."

"Well it's about time!" Louis said.

"What?"

Elounor just elbowed Louis and said. "Louis stop it."

"Sorry."

"Well! Louis and I are gonna head to lunch. See ya around Nicole, bye Elounor." said Harry.

"Bye Harry we both said in unison.

Then they just walked off.

Harry's POV

"Louis! What the hell! Are you trying to tell her I like her?!"

"Yes, actually, I am."

"why?"

"Because, seriously you've liked her since 7th grade. we're seniors now. And all you really do is talk about her, I mean what if she likes you back?"

"I highly doubt that. She probably thinks I'm a player, and believes all that shit people say about me. Does Elounor know I like her?"

"Ya, but she's not gonna tell her."

"Why not?"

"She wants Nicole to find out on her own. you know, take a hint.

"Ah, I see."
