(Not edited and English is not my first language.)

Alec P.O.V:

The three of us sat in silence with tears rolling of our cheeks. A few times it looked like Clary wanted to say something, but didn't know what to so instead she just stayed quiet.

"Hey Alec, are yo-" Jace came into the room asking but cut himself off once he saw us.

"You told her, didn't you?" He questioned me. I just nodded at him wiping away the tears, but more kept coming.

"Jace, I-i...I have no idea what to say to you, any of you." Clary said finally beginning to get control of herself, sort of. He just nodded.

"How much did you tell her?" Jace questioned.

"Not much, just who she was to each one of us spesifically." Izzie answerd which I'm grateful for.

"Well it's good that she knows, now she knows to leave us alone next time." Jace says, quite rudely and that's saying something coming from me.

"Jace, I- " Clary starts only to be cut of by Jace.

"Please Clary, not today. And just because you know about this doesn't mean I talk about it, or her. So don't expect anything."

I see hurt cross Clary's face but she covers it. She's getting the hang of this, I think to myself. She just nod her head at him.

"So you ok, buddy? Izzie?" Jace asks us.

"I will be." She answers while smiling sadly.

"Ask me again tomorrow and I won't lie to you." I answer truthfully. He looks conserned, but doesn't say anything. I'm starting to feel tired and deside it's time for my departure from this conversation.

"Well, I'm tired and I'm going back to bed, so goodbye." I say while standing up from the couch.

"Yeah, me too." Izzie says in agreement standing up after me.

I leave through the kitchen, not even bothering to listen Jace and Clary on my way out.

I make my way to my room, ignoring everyone like I did when I came to the kitchen. I reach my room, take off my shirt and I get under the covers. It wasn't long before a dreamless sleep took me over.

The next morning was a better than yesterday. I somehow felt lighter. Although the pain was stil there, it wasn't as bad. I get up, shower and dress in my work atire before heading to the kitchen. Starving since all I had yesterday was a cup of coffee. Pure genius Alec, genius.

Stepping into the kitchen I see Izzie swearing at the stove.

"You are an evil being that hates me. Everytime I try to use you, you hurt me for no reason." I hear her say and I burst out laughing not a fake laugh but a real one. The first one since, well you know. Izzie looks up and instead of starting to curse at me like she use to she just smiles.

"Well if I get that reaction from you for almost burning down the stove, I'll happily do it every morning." She says unable to wipe the smile off her face and I know it's because she got me to laugh. I just chuckled at her.

"And what's going on here?" Jace questions while he and Clary walks into the kitchen and judging from their clothes they just finished training.

"Well, uh, you see Izzie here tried to cook and uh, I came in here and saw her telling the stove how it was a evil being and how everytime she uses it hurts her from no reason." I finally finish between laughs.

Jace just stares at me while Clary says:

"Alec Lightwood, laughing?" Clary questions, I just roll my eyes at her.

"And there he is, oh and by the way Iz, can you curse at the stove every morning?" Jace says in his fake whisper voice.

I rolled my eyes again but I smile this time, while the other 3 just laughs.

"So what's on the agenda today?" Izzie asks.

"Nothing really, why?" Jace answers.

"Don't even think about it." I tell Izzie.

"But-" She began

"No"

"Please?"

"No"

"Big please?"

"No"

"Big please with a cherry on top?"

"No"

"Buzzkill" she mutters.

"I heard that." I tell her.

"Of course you did." She huffed.

"Okay, can someone tell me what I just missed?" Clary asked confused

"Izzie wanted Alec to go out and party but he stopped her before she could even finish her thought." Jace answers her.

"Oh, why not?" She questions.

"Because I don't like to party" I answer.

"Why not ?" She asks stupidly and I just shot her a 'seriously' looks.

"Oh, right" she says in realization.

"Do you ever have fun Alec?" She asks me curiously.

"Yes, but my version of fun and Isabelle's version of fun differs greatly" I answer and Izzie scoffs.

"Yeah, his version of fun is taking a day of and spend it reading a book locked up in his room." Izzie says and I just roll my eyes.

"What? It's true. Jace? Help a girl out here." Izzie whines.

"Yeah, no. So not picking that fight." Jace answers while shaking his head.

"Well I'm gonna train and you lot can do what you want to." I say standing up.

"We are going to go out and party. That means you too Clary." Izzie states while I walk to the training room.

"You do realize it's morning, right?" Clary replies

"I don't see your point." Izzie answers her and Clary sighs.

"Nevermind"

"Good luck Clary, you're gonna need it." I yell over my shoulder and I hear Izzie yell a 'Hey' after me and I just smile.

I was busy training where I hear a familiar voice.

"Alec?" My mother's voice calls out. Turning around to face her I greet her as well.

"Mother. What can I do for you?" I ask in a monotone voice.

"Can we go talk in the office. It's private." She answer in her usual stotic way. I nod and she turns around and starts leading the way.

"What is it, mother?" I ask as the door shuts.

"Well, uh. Me and your father have been thinking." She begins and I can tell from the look in her eyes I am not gonna like this.

"About?" I question.

"You are still a young man and the Lightwood name needs to carry on. So we were thinking that you should marry again. You've had a year to grieve and we feel that's enough." She says and by the time she is finish I am ready to explode.

"You can get that idea out of your heads because I will never, ever marry again. And as for the Lightwood name, there's always Max. Sam was it for me and now she's gone and so is half of me. I will never replace her. Do you understand me?" My voice is dangerously low and laced with fury.

My mothers eyes is wide at my statement and she nods frantically.

"Good" I say to her and then I spun around and walk out.

Sam will be in the next chapter.
