Arriving at Magnus' apartment, I didn't even brother to knock. I just entered the apartment and looked for the glittery man. I spotted my brother and Clary first, they were sitting on a couch together in the warlock's living room."Jacey!" I exclaimed, making his head snap to me. His eyes widened and he zoomed of the couch and to me. I hugged him tightly and so did he.
"I'm so glad you're awake." He told me, his voice muffled by my hair. I pulled away and gave Clary a pleasant nod.
"Where's Magnus?" I asked them and they point to a room. I walked to the room and the closer I got, the more I got the urge to kill the person inside. I stopped and took a deep breath before entering the room. My heart broke at the sight.
Alec was laying unconscious, bandages all over his chest. His face was pale, his body sweaty and his hair was messy but somehow he still managed to look perfect to me. Magnus and Izzie was at his bedside. My parabatai noticed me first. Much like Jace, she flew up and engulfed me in a hug. I gladly hugged back.
After we eventually pulled apart, I looked at Magnus. The urge to kill came back and I realised that it was my Reaper side wanting to come out. I quickly panicked, scared that I will hurt the glitter filled man, but one look at my love, and I calmed down.
Magnus went to open his mouth but I beat him to it. "I know I can help him. Tell me how."
The man sighed but nodded anyways. "Isabelle, please leave." My sister looked confused and like she wanted to asked questions but I shook my head, 'no' and she nodded, quickly exiting the room.
I looked at the warlock expectantly. "Telling you how to help him is the easy part," He started, snapping his fingers and a glass of red wine appeared in it. He took a big gulp. "It's the doing part. That is where the problem lies."
"He's my everything, Magnus. So I don't care what I have to do or how long I have to do it for, I'll do it. We lost each other once, not again. Never again." I told him adamantly.
"Right," The immortal said, clearing his throat and putting the drink down. "You need to concentrate. You unlocked your powers in a moment of fear and bringing them up now in a situation without so much emotion will be hard, but not impossible. Focus on Alec, on his wounds. Feel the energy in your veins, harness it and use it to heal him." I nodded and went to sit down on the other side of the double bed.
I lead forward and placed a loving kiss on his forehead before I placed my hands on his chest and started concentrating. Ten minutes later, it still didn't work. I huffed in annoyance and got of the bed.
"Magnus, this isn't working." I complained, glaring at the warlock that was sitting on the couch with my brother, my parabatai, Clary and the vampire, Simon. When did he get here? He rolled his eyes, making the glitter sparkle and I narrowed my eyes at him.
"Maybe we shouldn't start your with your husband." The warlock mused as he took in my frustrated expression.
"I want to help him." I said, stubbornly crossing my arms over my chest.
"I know you do, but he'll heal fine without it, slower, but fine. And you wouldn't want to end up hurting him, do you?" He challenged, raising an eyebrow. I shook my head furiously.
"No!" I exclaimed and he smiled in victory.
"Good, then we'll start with a plant." He declared and snapped his finger, making a plant appear on the coffee table. I raised my eyebrows.
"Do you ever do anything without the use of magic?" I questioned him, eyeing the plant.
He smirked and answered, "Lots of things." I rolled my eyes at the meaning of his words and gave him a blank look. "Well, go on. Try to take the plant's energy."
