CHAPTER SIX

Sam P.O.V:

We were currently on our way to the tomb in which I woke up. I kept thinking about how crazy and bizzare my life has gotten in the last 24-hours. I have a brother, a best friend and Alec. I don't know what I feel for Alec. I know I'm crazy attracted to him, but is this feelings just attraction or more?

"Okay so what are we looking for again?" Jace questions for what seems like the hunderdth time.

"You'll know it when you see it." I answer him.

"That's very vague."

"Yeah well, I've only explained it about a hunderd times and I'm not doing it again." I retort. I hear Izzie surpressing a laugh and Clary and Alec snorts.

"Oh, come on. One more time." He pleads and I sigh.

"Okay, 1 Its big, grey and ugly. 2 It has a weird symbol and no names on it. Got it? Good"

"What symbol?" Jace asks

"I don't know, look you'll know it when you see it, cause I'm pretty sure it's the only tomb without a name." I tell him, slowly getting annoyed at his questions.

"Fine" He says with a huff while crossing his arms over his chest. I notice how Clary is staring at his biceps with wide eyes and I see Jace smirk. What's with these two guys and playing girls. She really likes him and from what I've seen, he likes her too. An idea forms in my mind.

"So Clary, I was wondering. Do you have a boyfriend?" I ask innocently.

"No. Why?" She asks wearily and I wink at her indicating to play along. She catches it and nods.

"Cause I know this great guy who I think you'd love." I say while she smirks.

"Yeah sure, I'd love to." And as those words leave her mouth, Jace practically chokes on air.

"What?" Jace screeches and I have to bite my lip to keep myself from laughing.

"Problem Jace?" Comes Izzie's smug voice from besides me.

"No, no problem. In fact I think we should split up. You know, cover more ground."

"Yeah that could work." Alec's voice startles me from my other side.

"Ok, there's five of us, so groups of 3 and 2. Me, Clary and Izzie, and Alec and Sam." Jace says smirking at me. Damn you, Jace, damn you.

"Sounds good to me." Alec says with an excited tone and Jace and Izzie snickers while Clary just lets out a chuckle.

"Let's go." Izzie says in a sing song voice and I glare at her.

"Have fun." Jace says while walking away with Izzie and Clary. Me being me, I make a comment.

"It's a cemetery, who do you think we're gonna do? Play strip hid and seek?" I shout after him and I hear laughs from the two females. Happy that I shut him up I look at Alec with a grin.

"Looks like it's just me and you." I say. He smiles and I get a warm feeling in my chest.

"Yeah. I hope you don't mind." He says.

"Not at all." I assure him and we start walking. I look everywhere except the ground and I trip.

I shield my face and prepare for the impact when Alec's hands grips my waist and stops me from falling. Sparks erupt from where his hands are.

"Thank you" I say as he steady's me.

"No problem" He whispers while looking at me intensely.

"Sam! Alec! We found it!" I hear Clary yell and we jump apart in surpise.

"Come on." Alec says while grabbing my hand, interlacing our fingers and walking. The sparks shoots and I deside to ask Alec about it later.

"See, I knew it would work." I hear an excited Izzie yell while point at our interlaced hands.

"Nothing happened, he just took my hand" I say to Izzie and Alec lets go of my hands and immediately I miss the warmth it gave me.

"Oh" Izzie mutters.

"So, is this it?" Jace asks me and I turn to look at the tomb he was pointing too.

"Yeah, that's it." I say nodding.

"The symbol on the door is the angelic power rune, Alec" Jace says seriously.

"What? No. Impossible." Alec denies quickly but I don't know what. Jace just scoffs.

"Come now Alec, how many people would benefited from Sammy's supposed death?" Jace says angrily and Alec sighs and nods his head.

"Yeah, you're right. It's just, this is our people." He says sadly.

"I know, but Sammy was, well still is, a Shadow warrior." Jace answers.

"No way." Clary says with a gasp while looking at me wide wide eyes taking a step back.

"She won't hurt you, she doesn't even know how to use her power so calm down." Alec says defensively.

"Besides, if she goes whacko on us, Alec can pull her back." Jace says cheekily.

"Only if I want to." Alec says just as cheekily.

"What's a shadow warrior?" I question.

"We'll explain later." Izzie says with a small smile.

"Okay, so lets go inside." I say changing the topic.

"Let's." Clary says and turns to the tomb entrance. Alec waits for everyone to go in and stands outside. I go to walk in I stop and I turn to Alec.

"You ok?" He ask slightly worried and I nod my head yes at him.

"Then what is it?"

"I never said you had to let go." I answer him while grabbing his hand and he smiles brightly.

"Let go." He says while walking to the entrance. We get inside and I see it's still the way it wad when I woke up.

Coffin in the middle of the room on the floor with the name "SAMARA" engraved on top of it. Covered in cobwebs. No windows. Big enough for the coffin and a couple of people, but small enough not to attract attention.

"Woah." Alec breathes out from besides me.

"I know. Eerie, right?" Izzie questions while looking aroud the small room and rubbing her arms in a comforting way.

"Yeah, I second that. Which is saying something." Comes Jace's imput.

"I third" says Clary.

"So do you remember about what happened before you woke up?" Alec asks while looking at me.

"I remember darkness and slowly a light started to form and when the light was a blinding degree, I woke up in the coffin. It was closed and I pushed my hands against the top and lucky for me it was open or I would have suffocated." I tell them. Alec lets go off my hand and pulls me into a hug which I gladly return and we just stamd there.

"Doesn't look like there's anything here we should head back to the institute." Izzie says and we break apart but Alec quickly takes my hand and I smile up at him.

"What about the warlock?" I ask looking at Alec.

"Magnus will still be there tomorrow." The answer comes from Clary.

"Clary's right. Let's go" Jace says walking out of the tomb, the other two following .

"Come on" Alec says and we both walk out smiling.

I don't know what I feel for Alec, but I do know it's more than attraction.

Chapter 6. What do you think a shadow warrior is? Obviously it's a warrior, duh, but why was Clary so afraid?
