Then next day there is a fractioning between Alec and I. He knows it and I know it. We can both feel it. It would go away until I opened up to him. And based on the worried looks that Izzie and Jace is giving us as we are currently standing in front of the monitor, away from each other, they can feel it too.

"So, this pack of werewolves are rogues and their hunting mundanes." Luke, the Alpha of the New York Pack, told us. He, along with Clary's mother Jocelyn, Magnus and Clary were all standing infront of the monitor, looking at the faces of the rogue pack.

"Why?" I questioned the man and he shrugged.

"I have no idea, but this needs to stop." He answered and I nodded at him. I just can't help but wonder why they are killing the mundanes. Despite popular belief, they don't act without reason.

"Yes, the Clave gave us the go ahead to eliminate the entire pack." My husband spoke up and I glanced at him, seeing him having an emotionless expression in but I could see right through it. He wanted to get this mission over with and then talk with me.

Something I was dreading, and I don't want to talk but if I have to choose between talking about what I went through and my marriage - it's not really a choice. I just hope that he can forgive me for not telling.

"Luke's pack found the location of their hideout. It's down at the docks." Jace told us. "Gear up, we leave in half an hour." He ordered and I turned around, to head to my and Alec's room.

I heard, or more like I felt Alec behind me. There was an uncomfortable silence around us. I hated this. It is not supposed to be like this between us. We could always talk to each, tell each other everything. He is my closest friend and when we feel like their is something we can't tell our parabatai's, we tell each other. Now there is just silence.

Fifteen minutes later, I was getting my foot long daggers from the weapons rack when a familiar pair of arms wrapped themselves around my waist. A smile instantly lit up my face, I left my daggers hanging on the rack and sunk into Alec.

"Be careful out there today." He whispered in my ear, his warm breath hitting my neck - making me shiver.

"I'm always careful." I whispered back, placing my hands on his and enjoying the warmth of my husband's embrace.

"I know you are, I just..." He trailed of with his sentence but I knew what he meant. I turned in his arms and locked my arms around his neck. I gave him a smile before talking.

"You just worry about me." I finished for him and he nodded.

"Look, I know that I have some things to explain, but we just got each other back and I'm not going anywhere. Okay?" I told him and for a second he tightened his grip on me before he nodded again. "Besides, I'm looking forward to spend the rest of my life with you." We grinned warmly at each other and he gave me a soft, deep and tender kiss on the lips, making the butterflies in my stomach explode.

"Okay, lovebirds, it's time to go." My brother's voice was loud and teasing. Alec and I broke apart and I turned to my brother with a glare. He just chuckled at me before leaving. I quickly grabbed my daggers and Alec took my hand as we left. I smiled at out interlinked hands.

We would be okay, even after I told him the truth.

***

I stood against the crate, dressed in pitch black and blending in with the darkness of the night. My parabatai next to me, my brother was paired up with Clary and my husband was with Luke and the two of them lead us to the hide out.

I wasn't very happy when I heard that Alec was going nose first into unknown danger but I couldn't do anything about it. So, I kept quiet and sulked by myself. My husband noticed and gave me a kiss but that still didnt ease my worries.
