The day after was a surprisingly calm and quiet. Until it wasn't anymore. My peaceful time was broken by? You guess it, my annoying, yet lovable older brother. I raised my eyebrows as he barged into the room that was mine until Alec wakes up. I opened my mouth to say something but he beat me to it.

"Hey Sammy, when last did you see Izzie?" My brother's question took me by surprise as did the concern in his tone.

"Yesterday. Why?" I answered him and when his eyes widened and panic became visible on his face, I knew something was very wrong. My brother doesn't show emotion. Ever. "Jace, what's wrong?"

"About five hours ago, Izzie left the institute to come keep you company." Now worried filled me. If Izzie never made it here, that means that something happened to her. I closed my eyes and focused on our bond. A sigh of relief escaped my lips when I sensed her soul, but I panicked when I couldn't feel her emotions. That means that something happened and she shut it down, hoping that I would figure out that something was wrong. I quickly took my stele of the bedside table where it lied next to my daggers and traced it over my parabatai rune.

I gasped as a wave of fear, panic and dread flowed through me. I looked at Jace with wide eyes and I tried to track her. I cursed under my breath and got of the bed. I ran out the room and yelled for Magnus, knowing he was somewhere in the apartment. Said man appeared quickly and I explained to both him and Jace what just happened. While the warlock started to track her, Jace went to the institute to pick up Clary and some weapons.

Magnus traced found Izzie in an abandoned building, just outside the city. With great reluctance and a drive to find my parabatai slash sister, I left Alec. Of course I'm not stupid, I knew better than to leave him alone, so I called Maryse and asked her to come watch over her one child, while I went and rescued another one. My warlock friend, with good reason, didn't trust her and so, he decided to stay with her - much to her displeasure.

Currently, I was busy fighting for my life on the top floor of the building. I ducked as a seraph knife flew past my head. I threw my dagger in the direction that the knife came from. I felt a unfamiliar presence behind me and quickly spun around and plunged my dagger into his neck. The man fell to the floor clutching his neck. My eyes looked around and I spotted a man lying with my dagger under his heart. Not bad for a blind shot, I thought to myself. There was a lot more turned Shadowhunters than I first expected but something told me that this wasn't all they had. Whoever this 'they' was that had my sister in captivity. They are going to die slowly and/or painfully. Depending on my mood. Right now though I'm betting on both.

I pulled my dagger out of the man and immediately threw it in a man who was about to take Clary's head off her shoulders. I gave her a nod before spinning around and punching the man that was trying to sneak up behind me, in the face. Turns out through, it wasn't a man but a woman. Obviously older than me but also much less skilled than me. That was proven true when I punched her and she didn't even try to block me. I saw her reach for her seraph blade but before she could I took my own seraph blade - that I wasn't very fond of as I preferred my daggers - and took her head off.

I quickly wiped the blood spatter of my face and was about to start fighting about but I froze as a malicious, evil but above all a familiar voice started talking. "You make another move, and I will kill your sister."

Me, Clary and Jace all stopped our movements immediately - so did his Shadowhunters. They didn't know who the voice belonged to. But I do. I know. It belongs to a person who has caused me so much pain. A person that took something precious from me. For that alone I will kill him. I slowly turned to him and I barely kept a hold of my control.
