CHAPTER FOURTEEN

Sam P.O.V:

I'm so happy. Me and Izzie are walking through the institute with face splitting grins, our arms linked and people are staring but we couldn't care less.

"You two look like you stole candy." The cocky voice of my brother brings me back into reality.

"Well, we are on a happy high that even you can't ruin." I say. My grin never faltering.

"Yeah." Izzie says while nodding her head in agreement.

"What happend?" He asks curiously and I let out a chuckle.

"You'll find out the same time as everyone. Tonight." Izzie tells him.

"Oh come on. No fair." He whines and me and Izzie chuckle at his antics.

"Nope" I tell him in a sing song voice, popping the 'p' while walking to my room.

Hours later I am getting ready to for our anouncement. Izzie picked out the dress, obviously.

"Sammy!" I hear Izzie yell.

"Be out in a minute!" I yell back.

"Okay!" She yells and I finish up.

I am about to leave when I hear knocking at my door.

"Izzie, I told you th-" I start to rant but I cut myself off when I see Alec standing at my door dress up in a suit. A suit! And I thought he looked hot in casual clothes. I see his jaw drop and his eyes widen. I am sure I am mirroring him. He looks good, scratch that he looks hot.

"Wow." We both say at the same time.

"You look beautiful." Alec recovers first from our stunned moment.

"You too. I mean you look handsome." I stammer out slightly. He beams at me and I return it.

"Shall we?" He asks politely and extends his arm to me.

"I'd love too." I reply with a blush and go link our arms after I lock my door.

We walk door with halld in silence but not that uncomfortable silence that makes one squim, rather a comfortable one that puts you at ease.

All my nerves from before are gone and a happy smile has taken over my face since Alec came to fetch me. He has such and impact on my life it's not even funny.

He calms my nerves, stows my anger, makes me get butterflies and gives my heart uneven beating patterns. How is it that in less than a month's time he has made such a place in my life? In my heart?

I have no idea but I love it.

We walk for a couple more minutes before we enter the main room.

I look around to see Izzie beaming like she's the sun and Jace looking very uncomfortable in his suit and Clary looking like she's gonna laugh soon.

Alec and I walk over the the trio and when Izzie spots me, her smile gets wider. If that's possible at all.

"Can someone please tell me why I'm dressed up in a monkey suit?" Jace whines and Alec and I chuckle.

"How long has he been whining like a three year old?" I ask my best friend, soon to be parabatai.

"Since we got here." She says with a grin and pulls me and Alec apart to embare me in a hug which I gladly return.

"Don't you think this is a bit to soon?" I hear a stern voice ask behind me and I roll my eyes.

"Do you have something against me?" I ask her when I turned to her with a raised eyebrow.
