March 3, 2024, Faulkerson Home:

M wakes as tiny clammy hands hit her face. She doesn't have to open her eyes to know who it was. The drool that fell on her cheek, the sweet milky smell and soft skin gave the little culprit away. It's Seb.

M opens her eyes and finds their youngest child's face beaming down on her as he lies belly down on her chest.

"Good morning, baby." M smiles as she secures her arms around the baby. "What are you doing here? Sinong kasa...?"

M pauses mid sentence when she sees Charm by the door holding a single red rose.

"Good morning, Mama!" The little girl cheers.

"Good morning, sweetheart. Come here and give Mama a kiss."

Their daughter runs to the bed and kisses M's cheek as she hands the rose to her Mom.

"I love you, Mama."

"I love you more, baby girl."

M then helps Charm up to bed beside her and Seb.

"Hello Mama." Thirdy calls from the door as she balances a balloon and roses arrangement in his arms. "Good morning."

"Good morning, Honey. Wow. That's beautiful. Is that for me?"

The little boy nods his head and smiles. He then walks to the bed and sets the arrangement down beside M before climbing up and kissing M's cheek.

"I love you, Mama."

"I love you too, baby. What's going on?"

"The card might tell you something, Mama." Thirdy suggests and points to the note on the balloons.

M takes the card and reads it.

Dear Menggay ko,

I know we agreed not to have a party and a celebration but I really can't let this day pass.

Happy 29th Birthday.

M closes the card and wipes her tears away. Thirdy and Charm then hug her and kiss her cheek.

"Why are you crying, Mama?" Their son asks.

"Nothing, Honey. I'm just really happy. Thank you." M says as she gathers her kids in her arms and kiss the top of their heads.

"Happy Birthday, Mama." Thirdy whispers as he smiles up to his Mom.

"Thank you, Hon."

"Happy Biwthday, Mama." Charm says as she snuggles in M's arm.

"Thank you, sweetheart."

M turns to their youngest son and said. "And thank you, Seb-seb. I know that's a Happy Birthday, Mama by the way you nibble on my hand there." She grins.

A handsome Siberian Husky then comes in the room with a red bow tie and a card in his mouth.

"Hey, Iggy. What's this?" M asks as she pets Globie's son and takes the card.

Come on, birthday girl. Your loving husband awaits.

See you downstairs. ❤

"Let's go, kids. Let's see what Papa's up to." She beams as she picks up Seb and helps Thirdy and Charm down from the bed.

When they reach the hallway, M gasps as she sees its whole length filled with white, pink and yellow balloons on the floor and floating on the ceiling.

"Wow! Did you guys do this?"

Thirdy and Charm smile proudly and nod their heads.

"This is awesome. Thank you babies."

"Seb hewped too." Charm says.

"He did?"

"Yes, Mama. He made sure he didn't pop too many bawwoons." Charm answers and M giggles.

M and kids continue following a path of pink and yellow carnations down the stairs.

"Where is your Papa? Do you know where we can find him?"

Charm shrugs while Thirdy grins.

"I know!" He declares. "We should follow the bananas." Thirdy says as he points to the wall leading to the garden with a temporary mural of banana trees and other tropical plants.

At the sliding glass door leading to the garden, they find two matching Hawaiin shirts for Seb and Thirdy, a Tropical wrap around dress with the same print for M, a matching sundress for Charm and two flower crowns for Mom and daughter.

M wore the dress over her tank top and shorts then she puts on the kid's clothes over their pyjamas.

When they open the door, they find the temporary tropical forest mural wall continues to the pool side where a breakfast table is decorated in a Luau theme.

Then R comes out from behind a tree in a shirt that matches the boys', carrying a cake.

"Good morning, Faulkersons. " R smiles and walks over to his wife and whispers in her ear as he hugs her with one arm while balancing the cake in the other. "Happy Birthday, Love."

M hugs him back with Seb in between them. "Thank you, Love. Thank you so much. Sabi ko no celebrations na. May paganito pa rin."

"Hindi pwedeng walang celebration kahit tayo lang. You are too amazing, too special and too loved para palagpasin ang birthday mo nang wala man lang kahit ano. You deserve all these and more. If it were up to us, we would have taken you to a beach and thrown you the biggest beach party ever, right kids?"

"Yeees!!!" Thirdy and Charm cheer as they jump and throw their fists in the air.

"Oh, I love you all so much!" M beams as her tears fall from her eyes.

"And we love you very much, Love. Thank you for being the best wife to me and the best Mama to the kids. You are my angel, my destiny, the love of my life, my miracle." R says as he leans down to lovingly kiss M's lips.

M caresses his face, kisses his jaw and smiles. "You are the best husband a woman can ever dream of and..." She turns to their kids and says. "You are the most amazing kids. That's why I didn't want a big celebration, fancy parties or expensive gifts, I have all my wishes come true right here." M smiles as she is wrapped in her family's warm embrace. ❤👪❤
