Year 2024, Faulkerson Home:
"Love, are you sure about this?" M asked R one Sunday when she was going out for a day-long TVC shoot.
She was already by the door but she can't seem to get herself to go out. It was the first time in months that she would be leaving home the whole day without her husband and kids. Work so far has always been with R with the kids, Seb and Charm, tagging along with Yaya Pe, MT and a nanny looking after them. Thirdy went with them too when school was out.
Today, however, R happened to be free for the whole day since their Sunday show's episode for that day was already taped and decided to be adventurous and take care of the kids all by himself.
"Of course! Go, Love. Napag-usapan na natin to ng maraming beses." R beamed and slipped his arms around her waist. "Kinakabahan ka ba?"
"Yes but more on kinakabahang maiwan ka mag-isa dito with the kids that kinakabahang sumabak ulit sa trabaho mag-isa." She frowned.
"Love, don't worry. I can handle this. Hindi naman ito ang first time na maiiwan ako sa mga bata. Kaya ko to. Wala ka bang tiwala sa akin?" R said and kissed M's forehead.
"Siyempre meron kaya lang ngayon lang kayo maiiwan ng naka-off ang lahat. Wala kayong Nanay Pe at Mama Ten tapos sina Daddy, Riza at Kuya RD wala din. Si Angel lang kasama mo dito. Sure ka ba? Pwede naman siguro pa-reschedule yung shoot." M said.
"Love, hindi pwede yun. First time mo bumalik sa work, we don't want anyone saying na unprofessional ka." R said. "Kaya namin ni Angel to. Magkasundo sila ni Charm makakatulong din siya sa akin, di ba, Angel?"
"Opo, Kuya. Ate, go na po. Enjoy ka po sa shoot." R's teenage sister answered as she picked Seb up from his playpen in the family room.
"Basta sure kayo e di sige." M took a deep breath and looked at R. "Okay. Papa, I have a stash of breastmilk in the fridge. Alam mo naman na how to warm them up di ba? I also made purees for Seb na din separated in three containers for his meals. Pwede mo initin sa microwave yun at 2 minutes each lang."
"Okay, Mama. I can handle that." R smiled.
"Thirdy has baseball training at 10am and Charm has ballet practice at 2pm. Alam mo naman na din where to take them, right? You drove us there a few times."
"Yes, Love. Don't worry."
"Okay. Oo nga pala. Thirdy promised to finish his homework for his Advanced Math Summer Program class before dinner so please make sure he does that kasi pag after dinner pa, he's going to be too tired by then." M said.
"Love, relax. I'll have everything done before you get home. So, we'll be expecting you for dinner?"
"Yes, Love. Pa-deliver ka na lang. Di na ako nakapagluto eh. Sorry."
"Love, don't say sorry. You have done so much for us. Kaya go na, okay?"
M sighed. "Okay, Love."
R smiled and looked into M's eyes. "I love you."
"I love you more." M smiled back as R leaned in to lovingly kiss her lips.
"Mas nakakakilig talaga to sa personal kesa sa TV." Angel squealed giddily, making R&M laugh.
"Mama! Wait!" Charm called as she ran from the kitchen followed by Thirdy.
"Hey, sweetheart. Of course I'll wait. I haven't gotten my kiss yet." M said
Charm went straight into her mom's arms and kissed her cheek. "Mama, yook. Kuwa and I made you a sandwich for your snack." The little girl said, pointing at her My Little Pony lunch bag in Thirdy's hand.
"Wow. Thank you, babies." M smiled as she kissed Charm's nose and signaled for Thirdy to come closer then kissed his cheek.
"You're welcome, Mama. I also put in an apple and some milk for you in the bag. You always cook for us and make us baon for school so we don't get hungry. We don't want you to get hungry at work too." Thirdy said.
"Oh, babies!" M exclaimed teary-eyed as she gathered her kids in her arms and hugged them tight. "I love you so much."
"We love you too, Mama." Thirdy answered.
"I love you all too." R sniffled and wiped his tears as he joined the hug.
"Okay. Dito na lang ako. Di na ako aalis." M said and everyone laughed.
"Ma, sige na. Umalis ka na. Naghihintay na yung service mo." R smiled and kissed her forehead.
M sighed and stood up. She then walked over to Angel and Seb and gave them each a kiss. "Okay. Love, Angel, kids, be good while I'm gone and try not to destroy the house." She laughed.
"Naku, Love. Hindi mangyayari yun. Kami pa ba? Sobrang bait kaya namin. Walang makulit dito." R grinned as he carried Thirdy and Charm in each arm.
"I'll count on that, Love. Okay. Bye, family." M said and gave each one another round of hugs and kisses before finally going out the door.
